High-strength fibre rope for hoisting equipment such as cranes
A high-strength fibre rope (1) comprising a rope core as well as a sheathing indicating optical wear, wherein the sheathing comprises a sheath layer (2) made up of textile subunits (3, 4) of a first hierarchy level. An outermost sheath layer (2) is provided, wherein textile subunits (3, 4) of said outermost sheath layer of the first hierarchy level differ from each other in terms of their textile structure, and/or an outermost sheath layer and a further sheath layer underneath said outermost sheath layer are provided, and wherein the textile subunits of the first hierarchy level of said outermost sheath layer differ in their textile structure from that of said further sheath layer. The textile subunits of a lowermost hierarchy level of the rope are neither dispersed in a resin matrix in the outermost sheath layer nor in the further sheath layer arranged underneath the outermost sheath layer.
Draw tape for cables or similar flexible elements
Draw tape for cables including an elongated flexible element made of a helical multifilament rope composed of three filaments or strands helically wound about a common longitudinal axis. According to an additional feature, the rope is hammered. Still according to an improvement, the rope is externally covered by a jacket.
WEIGHTED TRIPLE-BRAIDED EXERCISE ROPE
An exercise rope is disclosed. The exercise rope includes a weighted core. It further includes a first braided layer surrounding the weighted core, the first braided layer having yarns of a first ply. It further includes a second braided layer surrounding the first braided layer, the second braided layer having yarns of a second ply, the second ply being higher than the first ply. It further includes a third braided layer surrounding the second braided layer, the third braided layer having yarns of a third ply, the third ply being higher than the second ply. The second braided layer is coated with an adhesive.
Device to provide protection of a structural member against a cutting threat
A device to protect a structural member against a cutting threat, such as a saw blade or thermal cutting device, is provided. The device provides a substrate having a cavity disposed therein. A cutting resistant element is disposed within the cavity to impede cutting of a cutting device, such as a saw blade or thermal cutting device, into the cutting resistant element.
Elevator belt with additive layer
A belt for an elevator system includes a plurality of tension members arranged along a belt width and extending longitudinally along a length of the belt, a jacket material at least partially encapsulating the plurality of tension members, and a primary overlay layer applied to one or more of the plurality of tension members or at least a portion of the jacket material. An elevator system includes a hoistway, an elevator car movable therein, and a belt operably connected to the elevator car to suspend and/or drive the elevator car along the hoistway. The belt includes a plurality of tension members arranged along a belt width and extending longitudinally along a belt length, a jacket material at least partially encapsulating the plurality of tension members, and a primary overlay layer applied to one or more of the plurality of tension members or at least a portion of the jacket material.
RUBBER-REINFORCING CORD AND RUBBER PRODUCT INCLUDING SAME
A rubber-reinforcing cord (12) of the present invention includes at least one strand. The strand includes at least one filament bundle and a coating provided to cover at least a portion of a surface of the filament bundle. The coating includes a rubber component including at least one selected from the group consisting of carboxyl-modified nitrile rubber and carboxyl-modified hydrogenated nitrile rubber, an isocyanate compound, a bismaleimide compound, carbon black, and a rubber-modified epoxy resin. In the coating, the content of the isocyanate compound is 10 to 50 parts by mass, the content of the bismaleimide compound is 5 to 25 parts by mass, the content of the carbon black is 2 to 18 parts by mass, and the content of the rubber-modified epoxy resin is 5 to 30 parts by mass, with respect to 100 parts by mass of the rubber component.
Polymer jacket material blends with improved flame resistance
A fire-resistant material according to an example of the present disclosure includes a base material and at least one of a siloxane polymer and a phosphonate polymer. A method of making a fire-resistant material is also disclosed.
Cut resistant rope
A rope having a core for providing strength to the rope, where at least a metal or composite woven or warp knitted fabric having multiple substantially parallel elongated metal elements is provided around the core for protecting said core from impact and cutting, and where the multiple substantially parallel elongated elements are in the warp direction and held by yarns.
Tire
A tire having a rubber body in which a steel cord is embedded, wherein a layer composed of Zn.sub.xCo.sub.yO is formed at the interface between the steel cord and the rubber body and x+y is 5/6 or more and 1 or less.
LIFT UNITS FOR SUPPORTING A SUBJECT, LIFT STRAPS, AND METHODS OF MAKING LIFT STRAPS
A lift unit for supporting a subject includes a lift body configured to travel along an overhead rail and a lift strap having a payout length extending from the lift body. The payout length retracts and extends relative to the lift body. The lift strap includes a woven fiber construction having a pattern integrated into the woven fiber construction. The pattern includes a plurality of markings indicative of the payout length.
