The present disclosure relates to methods of administering a composition to a patient, particularly in the form of a dietary supplement, which addresses immune system deficiencies and promotes healthy immune system functioning. The present invention relates to the field of inflammatory bowel disease. In one aspect, the present invention provides methods for treating inflammatory bowel disease in a patient comprising administering to the patient a therapeutically effective amount of a stem cell mobilizer and an immunosuppressive agent.
