Disclosed in certain embodiments is a method of treating long-haulers syndrome associated with infection (e.g., Covid-19) comprising administering a therapeutically effective amount of niclosamide or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof to a patient in need thereof.

ORAL CHOLESTYRAMINE FORMULATION AND USE THEREOF

The invention relates to an oral formulation for targeted delivery of cholestyramine to the colon, comprising a plurality of cholestyramine pellets that are coated with a diffusion-controlled inner coating and an enteric outer coating. The invention also relates to the use of this formulation in the treatment of bile acid malabsorption.

IRON-BASED MONTMORILLONITE MEDICAMENT FOR TREATING HYPERPHOSPHATEMIA AND IRON-DEFICIENCY ANEMIA, AND PREPARATION METHOD THEREFOR

It discloses an iron-based montmorillonite medicine for treating hyperphosphatemia and iron deficiency anaemia, and the preparation method thereof. The medicine comprises effective ingredient iron-based montmorillonite (Fe-montmorillonite) which is obtained by soaking or eluting the medicinal montmorillonite by water soluble iron salt solution. The effective ingredient is added by pharmaceutic adjuvant or not to make medicanent which is given via gastrointestinal tract. The effective ingredient binds the phosphate in the patients' digestive tract to form insoluble matter which can be excreted from the body via the digestive tract, therefore the phosphate in the patients with chronic renal failure is reduced and the goal of treating hyperphosphatemia is achieved.

FORMULATIONS OF DIHYDROMYRICETIN AND A PERMEABILIZER

Formulations including dihydromyricetin (DHM) and a fatty acid salt or a fatty acid.

PROLIPOSOMAL TESTOSTERONE UNDECANOATE FORMULATIONS

This invention relates to proliposomal powder dispersions of testosterone undecanoate (TU) and phospholipids, including dispersions of TU and palmitoylphosphatidylcholine (DPPC), wherein the weight/weight (w/w) ratio of TU:DPPC in the proliposomal powder dispersion is about 1:2; or TU and 1,2-dimyristoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphocholine (DMPC), wherein the weight/weight (w/w) ratio of TU:DMPC in the proliposomal powder dispersion is about 1:3; or TU and a 1-myristoyl-2-palmitoyl-sn-glycero 3-phosphocholine (MPPC), wherein the weight/weight (w/w) ratio of TU:MPPC in the proliposomal powder dispersion is about 1:3.

Oral delivery for hemoglobin based oxygen carriers

A process for making hemoglobin based oxygen carrier (HBOC) containing pharmaceutical composition suitable for oral delivery and the composition formed thereby are described. There are three exemplary composition configurations which include (1) hemoglobin-loaded nanoparticles solution, (2) enteric-coated hemoglobin capsules and (3) enteric-coated hemoglobin tablets. To facilitate the bioavailability and bio-compatibility of hemoglobin, intestinal absorption enhancers are added in each of the HBOC formulations. Protective layers ensure delivery of an intact hemoglobin structure in intestinal tract without degradation in the stomach. The HBOC formulations may be used for preventive or immediate treatment of high altitude syndrome (HAS) or for treatment of hypoxic conditions including blood loss, anemia, hypoxic cancerous tissue, and other oxygen-deprivation disorders. In addition to delivering oxygen, the heme group of hemoglobin from HBOC formulations can provide heme iron to the human body to aid in the production of more red blood cells.
