KNITTED COMPONENT WITH A FUSED SURFACE REGION LOCATED ON A TUBULAR KNIT STRUCTURE
A knitted component may include a first side and an opposite second side and a first tubular knit structure having a first portion on the first side and a second portion on the second side, where the first portion is at least partially formed with a first yarn and where the second portion is at least partially formed with a different second yarn, and where the first yarn includes a thermoplastic polymer material with a melting point of about 200° C. or less. The knitted component may further include a fused surface region on the first side of the knitted component formed with the thermoplastic polymer material of the first yarn. The knitted component may further include an inlaid strand extending through a passage formed by the first tubular knit structure between the first portion and the second portion.
KNITTED COMPONENT HAVING A KNITTED ANCHOR PORTION
A knitted component may include an adjustable tensioning cable and a knitted component forming at least a portion of an exterior surface of an upper. The knitted component may include at least one knit anchor having an channel for receiving the tensioning cable, where the tensioning cable extends through the channel, and where the channel of the at least one anchor extends along an arc.
Upper including a knitted component and a tab element
An upper for an article of footwear may include a knitted component that includes a first knitted zone, a second knitted zone, and a third knitted zone. Each of the first knitted zone, the second knitted zone, and the third knitted zone may extend from a collar area of the upper to a biteline of the upper, where the first knitted zone, the second knitted zone, and the third knitted zone are each located at least partially in a heel area of the upper, and where the second knitted zone is located between the first knitted zone and the third knitted zone such that the second knitted zone is located in a central portion of the heel area. The second knitted zone may include an elasticity that is greater than an elasticity of the first knitted zone and also greater than an elasticity of the third knitted zone.
ARTICLE OF FOOTWEAR INCORPORATING A KNITTED COMPONENT WITH AN INTEGRAL KNIT TONGUE
In one aspect, the present disclosure provides an upper for an article of footwear. The upper may include a knitted component with a knit element defining a portion of at least one of an exterior surface of the upper and an opposite interior surface of the upper, the interior surface defining a void. The knitted component may further include a tongue, where the tongue extends through a throat area of the upper, and where the tongue comprises a lateral edge and a medial edge. The knitted component may further include at least one raised element extending a height above the exterior surface of the knit element and extending a length along at least one of the lateral edge and the medial edge of the tongue, where the tongue and the at least one raised element have a common yarn.
Knitted component having a knitted anchor portion
A knitted component may include an adjustable tensioning cable, may form at least a portion of an exterior surface of an upper, and may include at least one knit anchor having a channel for receiving the tensioning cable, where the tensioning cable extends through the channel, and where the channel of the at least one anchor extends along an arc.
Sock with tab
Aspects herein are directed to a sock having an integrally knit, two-layered tab positioned interior to a collar of the sock, where the collar defines an opening for a wearer's foot. By positioning the tab interior to the collar, the tab can be used to assist the wearer in donning and/or doffing the sock by acting as the primary structure by which the wearer pulls an elastic collar around the wearer's foot when donning the sock.
KNITTED ARTICLE WITH AT LEAST ONE SCALLOP ELEMENT AND METHODS OF MANUFACTURE
In one aspect, the present disclosure relates to an article at least partially formed by a knitted component. In some embodiments, the article may include an upper for an article of footwear. The knitted component may include a seamless portion extending from a toe area, through a midfoot area, and to a heel area of the upper on at least one of a lateral and a medial side of the upper. A first course may at least partially form the knitted component, and the first course may extend from the heel area to the toe area of the upper. The knitted component may include one or more scallop elements at least partially overlapping.
Knitted Cushion Regions
An upper may include a knitted component having an interior surface and an exterior surface. The knitted component may include at least one integrally knitted cushion region located on the interior surface in the rearfoot region. The cushion region may include a plurality of tubular rib structures that project away from the second surface of the knitted component, and within the rearfoot region, the plurality of tubular rib structures may extend vertically and parallel to a heel centerline of the upper.
HEAT-ACTIVATED CRIMPING TEXTILE
A heat-activated crimping textile is disclosed including a plurality of a first yarn, a plurality of a second yarn interlaced with the plurality of the first yarn, and a plurality of a third yarn interlaced with the plurality of the first yarn, the plurality of the second yarn, or both. The third yarn includes a heat-activated shrinkage factor of greater than 30% when exposed to a predetermined temperature. When the heat-activated crimping textile is exposed to an elevated temperature of at least the predetermined temperature, a plurality of crimps propagates along the heat-activated crimping textile, forming a crimped textile.
Article of footwear incorporating a knitted component with a tongue
The present disclosure provides an upper for an article of footwear. The upper may include a knit element defining a portion of at least one of an exterior surface of the upper and an opposite interior surface of the upper. The interior surface may define a void. A tongue and the knit element may have a common yarn, and the tongue may extend through a throat area of the upper. The tongue may comprise a lateral edge, a medial edge, and a forward portion. At least one of the lateral edge, the medial edge, and the forward portion may be unsecured to the knit element. The tongue may be secured to the knit element at least at one of the lateral edge, the medial edge, and the forward portion of the throat area.
