A double-knit fabric containing a first knit layer, a second knit layer, and a plurality of stuffer yarns. The first knit layer contains a plurality of first yarns and forms the upper surface of the double-knit fabric. The second knit layer contains a plurality of second yarns and forms the lower surface of the double-knit fabric. The plurality of stuffer yarns is located between the first knit layer and the second knit layer. The double-knit fabric contains a plurality of anchored lines and a plurality of detached regions. The double-knit fabric the first knit layer has an undulating surface in at least 90% by number of the detached regions defined as the upper surface containing at least 3 inflection points in the warp or weft directions.

Knitted fabric, method for producing a knitted fabric, and warp knitting machine

A knitted fabric, a method of producing the knitted fabric and a warp knitting machine. The knitted fabric includes a first covering layer; a second covering layer; and an arrangement of pile threads formed as spacer threads between the first covering layer and the second covering layer. Each covering layer includes multiple stitch rows arranged one after another. The spacer threads have different lengths, and the spacer threads woven into each stitch row have equal lengths. The spacer threads in a first width region have a different length than the spacer threads in a second width region. For at least two adjacent stitch rows, one stitch row is connected to spacer threads of a first length in the first width region and one stitch row is connected to spacer threads of a second length in the second width region.

Insulating double-knit fabric

An insulating, double-knit fabric containing a first knit layer and a second knit layer coupled with the first knit layer through a plurality of first direction spaced apart rows in a first direction and a plurality of second direction spaced apart rows in a second direction which is perpendicular to the first direction forming a plurality of air pockets in a grid pattern. The fabric also contains a plurality of intermediate fiber regions positioned in the plurality of air pockets, where each of the intermediate fiber regions contains a plurality of rows of multi-filament fibers extending parallel to at least one of the first and second knit layers. The first knit layer and the second knit layer comprise a plurality of flame resistant fibers, a plurality of cellulosic fibers, and a plurality of modacrylic fibers blended together.
