Braided electronic device cable, braiding machine and method for braiding an electronic device cable
This application relates to cable assemblies with an outer (exterior) layer formed from braiding materials together. To achieve a desired pattern, a machine tool forming the outer layer undergoes several modifications. For a machine tool with two tracks (e.g., inner and outer track) with multiple carriers of material to be braided, each carrier position may include multiple bobbins, with each bobbin carrying a spool/coil of the material. During a braiding operation performed by the machine tool, each track rotates in opposite directions. Moreover, some bobbins include an arm that guides the material in a particular manner. For example, during rotation of the track, the arm provides a swinging motion, causing the material carried by the arm to move in a periodic (e.g., sinusoidal) motion. An additional track may be used to guide the arms.
Shoe with knitted outer sole
Described are shoes, particularly a sports shoe, having an upper and at least one of an outer sole and a midsole connected to the upper. As examples, the outer sole is knitted in a unitary fashion with the upper. As further examples, an insert is positioned within the one-piece knitwear, wherein the insert comprises a profile that increases traction of the outer sole.
ARTILE OF FOOTWEAR INCORPORATING A KNITTED COMPONENT HAVING FLOATED PORTIONS
An article of footwear may include an upper incorporating a knitted component formed of unitary knit construction. The knitted component includes portions having extended floated portions to distribute forces acting on the knitted component and resist stretching of the knitted component when the article of footwear is worn during a sport or athletic activity.
SPACER FABRIC WITH WARP KNIT LAYER, COMPOSITE MATERIAL, AND A TRIM COVER
According to one or more embodiments, a three-dimensional spacer fabric comprises a first knit layer, a second knit layer and monofilament spacer yarns extending between and connecting the first and second knit layers. The first knit layer comprises pillar stitches and lay in stitches working together to form the first knit layer and the second knit layer comprising a mesh fabric formed of a mirrored stitch formation. The spacer fabric has a compression force deflection, as measured by ISO3386-1, in the machine direction (MD) of 10 to 15 kPa. The spacer fabric can be secured to a trim material to form a trim cover.
Spacing knitted fabric and method for producing a spacing knitted fabric
A spacing knitted fabric has a first and a second flat knitted fabric layer that are connected to each other by incorporated spacing threads. The first knitted fabric layer has mesh-forming loop threads made from thermoplastic plastic and non-mesh-forming additional threads made of thermoplastic plastic. In the first knitted fabric layer, only the additional threads are at least partially melted and due to the at least partial melting, causing a reinforcement of the first knitted fabric layer.
ARTICLE OF FOOTWEAR INCORPORATING A KNITTED COMPONENT WITH A TONGUE
The present disclosure provides an upper for an article of footwear. The upper may include a knit element defining a portion of at least one of an exterior surface of the upper and an opposite interior surface of the upper. The interior surface may define a void. A tongue and the knit element may have a common yarn, and the tongue may extend through a throat area of the upper. The tongue may comprise a lateral edge, a medial edge, and a forward portion. At least one of the lateral edge and the medial edge of the tongue may be unsecured to the knit element. The tongue and the knit element may comprise a common yarn at least at the forward portion of the tongue.
MULTI-LAYER BRAIDED ARTICLE
A multi-layer braided article and a method of making the multi-layer braided article. The multi-layer braided article includes a braid extending along a first axis, wherein the braid is folded over itself to form a first layer and a second layer; and a wrapper laid over the first layer of the braid and extending circumferentially around the first axis, wherein the wrapper defines an edge of the first layer about which the braid is folded. The multi-layer braided article may form part of a blade for an aircraft. A sleeve may be provided around a conical portion of the article to connect the article to something else, such as a propeller hub, where the multi-layer braided article is formed as part of a blade. The sleeve may provide a primary or secondary load path.
COMPOSITE YARN, FABRIC THEREOF AND BRASSIERE
A fabric includes an inner textile layer, an outer textile layer, and a middle textile layer. The inner textile layer includes a plurality of microfiber yarns and a plurality of elastic fiber yarns. The outer textile layer includes a plurality of composite yams. The middle textile layer is between the inner textile layer and the outer textile layer and has a plurality of wave-like polyester fiber yarns. Further, the outer textile layer includes a first weaving region and a second weaving region. The content of the composite yarns in the first weaving region is greater than the content of the composite yarns in the second weaving region.
Upper and lower torso garments having an improved band
A lower torso garment, such as a brief, includes a body having a pair of leg openings, a crotch portion between the leg openings, and a waist opening, and a waist band connected to the body and positioned at the waist opening. The waist band includes an elastomeric band affixed between overlapping plies of fabric, and the elastomeric band includes a thermoplastic elastomer film. The elastomeric band is positioned between the overlapping plies of fabric.
Article with at least one layered pod
In one aspect, the present disclosure provides knitted component comprising with a first surface and a second surface, the first surface facing opposite the second surface. A pod may have the first surface and the second surface, and an edge region may have the first surface and the second surface, where the edge region at least partially demarcates the pod. A first yarn may substantially form the first surface of the pod, where the first yarn is a fusible yarn. A second yarn may substantially form the second surface of the pod, and the second yarn may substantially form the first surface of the edge region.
