Described are shoes, particularly a sports shoe, having an upper, and at least one of an outer sole and a midsole connected to the upper. At least one of the outer sole and the midsole is formed of knitwear. As examples, the upper is also formed of knitwear. In the examples, the knitwear in an area of outer sole and/or the midsole and the knitwear in an area of the upper are formed as one-piece knitwear.

Described are shoes, particularly a sports shoe, having an upper and at least one of an outer sole and a midsole connected to the upper. As examples, the outer sole is knitted in a unitary fashion with the upper. As further examples, an insert is positioned within the one-piece knitwear, wherein the insert comprises a profile that increases traction of the outer sole.

Layered yarn and weighted blanket for deep pressure therapy
10835708 · 2020-11-17 · ·

Disclosed is a weighted material that is configured to effectuate deep pressure therapy to a person when a piece of the weighted material is used as a blanket over the person's body. A length of layered yarn is interlooped to form the piece of weighted material. The layered yarn includes an outer tube extending longitudinally from a first end to a second end. The outer tube defines a conduit extending longitudinally therethrough from the first end to the second end. A plurality of inner layers of material are disposed within the conduit and extend longitudinally from the first end to the second end. The interlooped length of yarn, by itself, is configured and sufficiently weighted to effectuate deep pressure therapy to a person when the blanket lies over the person's body. Various other systems and methods are also disclosed.

Footwear having therapeutic light source

An article of footwear is configured to be worn so as to at least partially cover a wearer's foot. The footwear includes at least one optical fiber on an internal surface of the footwear. The at least one optical fiber is configured to project radiation having a therapeutic wavelength through the at least one optical fiber and toward at least one of the wearer's foot, ankle or leg when the footwear is being worn so as to at least partially cover the wearer's foot.

Knitted structures for heat generation and distribution

A knitted structure is configured for heat generation and distribution. In some embodiments, the knitted structure includes a knitted fabric including a first knitted layer and a second knitted layer opposite the first knitted layer. The first knitted layer has a first thermal conductivity. The second knitted layer has a second thermal conductivity. The second thermal conductivity is greater than the first thermal conductivity to facilitate heat transfer toward the first knitted layer. The knitted structure may further include a plurality of electrodes at least partially disposed inside the knitted fabric. Each of the plurality of electrodes is configured to generate heat within the knitted fabric upon receipt of electrical energy in order to distribute heat along the knitted structure and toward the first knitted layer.

Energy harvesting, heat managing, multi-effect therapeutic garment

An energy harvesting, heat managing, multi-effect therapeutic garment, defining an inner surface and an outer surface, seamlessly knitted using a predetermined number of yarns is provided. The yarns for constructing the therapeutic garment are selected from a yarn that absorbs, stores, and releases heat energy through a phase change, yarns that convert heat energy and ultra violet radiation energy into far infrared radiation energy and radiate the far infrared radiation energy to other yarns and to a wearer's body part, a yarn that adsorbs moisture from the wearer's body part and/or ambient environment and generates heat energy through an exothermic reaction, a heat insulting and hydrophobic yarn, and a heat conductive yarn that maintains a uniform temperature within the yarns. The yarns of the therapeutic garment are bundled and knitted to create a uniform surface area distribution of the yarns that contact each other and cover the wearer's body part.
