KNITTED LOFT ZONES
A knitted component may include a loft zone having at least one first loft portion that is integrally knit. The loft portion may include a first knitted layer having an elasticated first material, a second knitted layer, a void between the first knitted layer and the second knitted layer, and at least one course of a second material that is knitted within the void and causes the second knitted layer to extend away from the first knitted layer by a first distance. The at least one course of the second material may include at least one float and may project into the void. The second material may have a greater resistance to bending than the elasticated first material.
WOVEN CLOTH
The woven cloth includes a plurality of first threads, a plurality of second threads, and a plurality of third threads. Each first thread and each second thread are woven by a plurality of filaments respectively. Each first thread is interwoven with and ties the plurality of second threads and is interwoven with and ties at least part of the plurality of third threads. The third threads are not interwoven with the plurality of the second threads.
THREE-DIMENSIONAL CHANNELED FABRIC STRUCTURE FOR GARMENTS AND/OR FOOTWEAR
A fabric structure includes a first layer, a second layer, and a spacing layer that interconnects the first layer and the second layer, wherein, the interconnecting of the first layer, second layer, and third layer forms a plurality of channels.
KNITTED COMPONENT WITH ADJUSTABLE KNITTED PORTION
An article may include a base structure with a strand and an adjustment member. The adjustment member may include a course with a plurality of loops, and the strand of the base structure may be inlaid within the course of the adjustment member adjacent to a first loop and a second loop of the plurality of loops. The adjustment member may be configured to slide along the base structure from a first state to a second state such that the first loop and the second loop define a first loop distance in the first state, and the first loop and the second loop define a second loop distance in the second state. The first loop distance may be greater than the second loop distance.
THREE-DIMENSIONALLY PATTERNED NON-WOVEN HAVING STRESS RECOVERY
A nonwoven web made of substantially continuous fibers and comprising a three-dimensional pattern of protruding closed shapes, wherein the nonwoven web has a compression recovery of at least 30% after being compressed at 1 psi for 24 hours.
SUPERCONTRACTING FIBER TEXTILES
The present disclosure relates generally to pre-treating textiles and methods of preparing textiles in a pre-treated state. Specifically, the present disclosure relates to pre-treating textiles comprising recombinant protein fibers.
Process for making a tubular textile article, in particular an upper for footwear, with a circular knitting machine
A process for making a tubular textile article destined to represent an upper for footwear comprising programming a textile machine defining a tubular textile article to be made, extending longitudinally in a seamless way starting from a first open end and consisting of a plurality of stitch rows in succession. The process further includes knitting, in accordance with the programming step, by making the first end, belonging to a first fabric of the textile article, destined to represent a tip end of an upper; making a tip portion of the first fabric, destined to represent a portion of the upper enclosing the toe; making a tab, belonging to the first fabric and destined to represent a portion of the upper enclosing or covering at least one portion of instep; making a middle portion of the first fabric, destined to represent a portion of the upper enclosing at least part of the sole and sides of the foot, wherein the middle portion has a longitudinal opening which is located on at least one portion of the instep, and two lateral margins on the sides of the longitudinal opening; and making an end portion of the first fabric destined to represent a portion of the upper enclosing the foot heel. The tab and the longitudinal opening of the middle portion both have a simultaneous longitudinal development, in a direction corresponding to the longitudinal development of the upper; the knitting step entirely produces the unitary, single-piece tubular textile article; the steps are performed in succession such that processing is never interrupted between each step and the following one.
Method of simultaneously knitting opposing sides of an article of footwear
A method of knitting a knitted component for an article of footwear includes performing a pass of at least one yarn feeder along a longitudinal axis relative to first and second needle beds of a knitting machine. The method includes feeding at least one yarn with the at least one feeder during the pass. The method also includes forming, during the pass, a plurality of first loops with the first needles to define a first portion of the knitted component. The method further includes forming, during the pass, a plurality of second loops with the second needles to define a second portion of the knitted component. The first portion defines a medial side of an upper for the article of footwear. Additionally, the second portion defines a lateral side of the upper for the article of footwear.
Prosthetic liner and method for making the same
A method for making a prosthetic liner includes the steps of providing a textile sleeve, applying an uncured silicone material onto an inner surface of the textile sleeve and impregnating interstices of a high-density knit structure of the textile sleeve. The silicone material is a fast-cure silicone material arranged to reach at least 90% cross-linking faster than conventional silicone material. The silicone material is preferably limited to the inner surface of the textile sleeve, whereas the outer surface is devoid of the silicone material. The silicone defines an inner layer forming the interior surface of the liner, and the outer surface of the textile sleeve forms the exterior surface of the liner. A thickness of the liner from the interior surface of the liner to the inner surface of textile layer consists of the silicone of the inner layer.
