EAR SPRAY DEVICE AND EAR PROTECTION COMPOSITION FOR PREVENTING WATER RELATED EAR CANAL DISORDERS
An ear spray device dispensing a pre-defined quantity of an ear protection composition capable of preventing ear canal disorders. The said composition includes Paraffinum Liquidum within the range of 90.0 percent w/v to 99.9 percent w/v, and Oreganum Oil within the range of 10.0 percent w/v to 0.1 percent w/v. The ear spray device includes a reservoir containing the said ear protection composition and a spray nozzle attached with the said reservoir through a pump mechanism. The said spray nozzle is adapted to spray the said composition in the ear canal of the user when the said device is in a substantially upright or a substantially inverted position.
Vaginal hydrogel for delivery of therapeutics
The composition is a hydrogel which may be used to deliver therapeutics vaginally. The hydrogel may include a glycosaminoglycan. The glycosaminoglycan may include multiple thiol groups. The composition may also include a molecule that includes at least two thiol reactive sites. The composition may include a mucoadhesive agent as well as a therapeutic agent. The composition may deliver the therapeutic at a pH that is optimal for the vaginal environment, namely between about 3.5 and 5.0.
MICROENCAPSULATION OF BACTERIOPHAGES AND RELATED PRODUCTS
An encapsulated bacteriophage formulation and a method for encapsulating bacteriophages and bacteriophage-related products in polymeric microcapsules is provided. Some embodiments of the method of producing the encapsulated bacteriophages involves a water-in-oil-in-water double emulsion.
TOPICAL NAFTIFINE COMPOSITIONS
The present disclosure provides a topical sprayable composition comprising: (a) about 0.05% to about 5% by weight naftifine or pharmaceutical acceptable salt thereof, (b) a film forming agent comprising octylacrylamide acrylate copolymer and, (c) an alcoholic solvent, topical spray composition wherein the ratio of the alcoholic solvent to the propellant in the composition is about 1:1 to about 3:1 (w/w). The disclosure also provides a method of treating a dermatophyte skin infection or onychomycosis in a subject in need thereof, the method comprising topically administering to the subject the topical compositions as described herein.
TOPICAL SILK COMPOSITIONS AND METHODS OF USING
Methods of protecting skin of a mammal by application of silk-derived compositions useful for treating or preventing a wide variety of skin conditions. Silk solutions and silk mats are prepared and applied to the skin surface. The silk compositions may be self-adhesive or sutured to cover a wound or area of skin exposed to physical stresses and strains, thereby preventing a wound and/or promoting wound healing.
Topical formulations comprising a steroid
The application provides formulations for the topical administration of an active agent comprising at least one steroid, in the form of topical sprays that are propellant-free, and/or substantially non-foaming, and/or alcohol-free. The present application also provides processes for preparing such compositions and methods of using them in management of skin diseases or disorders such as psoriasis, dermatoses, and other associated skin diseases or disorders.
COMPOSITIONS AND THEIR USE IN THE TREATMENT OF ENDOMETRIOSIS AND PAIN
Disclosed are compositions useful in the treatment or prevention of endometriosis and pain. Also disclosed are methods for the treatment and/or prevention of endometriosis and pain.
NOVEL PHARMACEUTICAL USE OF THIOPHENE [3,2-D] PYRIMIDINE-4-KETONE COMPOUND
Disclosed is use of a thieno[3,2-d]pyrimidin-4-one compound represented by general formula (I). Definition of each substituent is as stated in the description and claims, and the compound is used for preparing medicines for treating and/or preventing liver fibrosis and related diseases or preparing a DPP-4 inhibitor, or is used as a DPP-4 inhibitor.

Topical treatment for warts using film forming polymers
Human warts have been the subject of many treatment options. Most of the effective strategies involve invasive procedures or painful treatments. The goal of this treatment is to find a topical application of a compound that will remove the infected tissue without significant discomfort to the patient. The present invention effects the treatment by using a polymerizing compound that forms a boundary between the hyperkeratotic layer of infected epithelial cells and the healthy skin cells. This modality is both painless and does not harm healthy cells.
TOPICAL FORMULATIONS WITH RESINIFERATOXIN NANOPARTICLES AND METHODS
Nanoparticles comprising resiniferatoxin (RTX) encapsulated in a poly(lactic-co-glycolic acid) (PLGA) polymer and compositions, especially topical compositions, comprising the nanoparticles. The compositions can be used as topical formulations for ameliorating pain, including for diabetic patients with peripheral neuropathy.
