There is also disclosed a rotor disc comprising such a refining segment, a stator disc adapted to cooperate with such a rotor disc as well as a refiner comprising at least one of such a rotor disc and stator disc.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR DISPERSING OR REFINING OF ORGANIC MATERIAL, SUCH AS CELLULOSE FIBER AND ORGANIC WASTE
An apparatus for dispersing or refining organic material includes a rotor shaft extending along a rotation axis, a rotor to be driven to rotate by the rotation axis, and a housing arranged around the rotor shaft and the rotor, the housing having an inlet for receiving the organic material and an outer wall. The housing has a stator disc, and the rotor has a rotor disc, each disc having teeth on a surface that is turned toward the other disc. After organic material has been dispersed by the teeth, the organic material is fed into a dilution zone where the organic material is mixed with dilution liquid introduced through a number of dilution inlets before the mix is fed out of the apparatus via an outlet arranged in the outer wall. The dilution inlets are angled in relation to the radial of the rotation axis, in a plane perpendicular to the rotation axis. By angling the dilution inlets in such a way, a better mix is achieved between dilution liquid and dispersed or refined organic material, which results in increased energy efficiency of the apparatus.
REFINING MEMBER AND HUB WITH SPLINES WITH A WEAR INDICATOR

At least one of the hub splines has a wear indicator, the wear indicator comprising a surface mark that extends along a portion of the spline surface in the same direction as the hub axis.
Granules conditioner
The present invention concerns a granular material conditioner for optimising grain sizes of granular materials comprising two discs which are rotatable relative to each other and which are arranged in substantially mutually parallel relationship, a granular material inlet through which granular material can be passed into the conditioner into an annular gap between the two discs, and a catch container for receiving the granular material which issues from the gap between the two discs by virtue of centrifugal force. According to the invention it is proposed that the catch container has an elastic curtain, wherein the curtain is spaced at least portion-wise from the catch container wall and limits the trajectory of the granular material issuing from the gap.
Refiner segment with varying depth profile
A refiner segment configured to be attached to a refiner disc in a refiner of lignocellulosic material includes: a plurality of bars extending in a direction from an inner periphery of the refiner segment towards an outer periphery of the refiner segment; a plurality of intermediate areas, each intermediate area disposed between adjacent bars of the plurality of bars and configured to separate each bar from an adjacent bar, wherein at least one of the intermediate areas includes: a channel region having a first side and extending a first depth into the refiner segment, and a ridge region connected to the first side of the channel region and extending a second depth into the refiner segment less than the first depth. The channel region has a width W.sub.1 that gradually decreases in a direction from the outer periphery of the refiner segment toward the inner periphery of the refiner segment, and the ridge region has a width W.sub.2 that correspondingly increases in the direction from the outer periphery of the refiner segment toward the inner periphery of the refiner segment.
