Fibrous Structures
Fibrous structures, and more particularly sanitary tissue products containing fibrous structures having a surface exhibiting a three-dimensional (3D) pattern such that the fibrous structure and/or sanitary tissue product exhibits novel properties compared to known fibrous structures and/or sanitary tissue products, and methods for making same are provided.
Differential Pillow Height Fibrous Structures
Fibrous structures having pillows and knuckles, wherein the fibrous structures contain two or more pillows that exhibit differential pillow height and methods for making same are provided.
Fibrous Structures
A fibrous structure. The structure includes a plurality of semi-continuous knuckles extending from portions of the surface of the fibrous structure in a parallel path, wherein the plurality of semi-continuous knuckles are separated by adjacent semi-continuous pillow regions. Each semi-continuous knuckle comprises a plurality of discrete pillows, the plurality of discrete pillows are arranged in a spaced configuration along the path of each of the semi-continuous knuckle.
Press arrangement
A press arrangement for a machine for producing and/or processing a fibrous web, in particular a paper, board or tissue web. The arrangement has at least a central roll and a first and a second mating pressing unit. The first mating pressing unit forms a first press nip with the central roll, and the second mating pressing unit forms a second press nip with the central roll. The central roll has a plurality of pressure sensors embedded in the central roll and arranged beside one another in the cross-machine direction, by way of which the pressure profile in the cross-machine direction can be determined in the first and in the second press nip. There is also disclosed a method for operating such a press arrangement.

METHODS AND APPARATUS FOR FORMING FLUFF PULP SHEETS
An improved processes for making fluff pulp sheets mechanically eliminates many of the unwanted fiber-to-fiber bonding (fiber bundles) which may be contained in the sheet to produce consistent and uniform quality fluff pulp. Pulp slurry is deposited on a moving bottom forming wire to form a stock web. Pulp slurry is brought into contact with a moving top forming wire. The stock web is subjected to up and down dewatering creating separately formed layers to reduce fiber-to-fiber bonding. The stock web can be subjected to strong pulsating shear forces as it is being advanced along the bottom forming wire to break a majority of fiber bundles contained in the web. The pulp slurry can be deposited on the bottom forming wire utilizing a headbox with dilution control to selectively adjust the concentration of the pulp slurry. A shoe press can be used to dewater the web after it is subjected to the pulsating shear forces. The web can be dried utilizing conventional drying equipment, such as cylindrical driers.
Creped fibrous structures
Creped fibrous structures having pillows and knuckles, wherein the creped fibrous structures may exhibit improved knuckle properties, such as Knuckle Roughness Ra, Knuckle Roughness Rq, and Knuckle Creping Frequency and methods for making same are provided, and/or may comprise elongate knuckles comprising discrete pillows and/or elongate pillows between first and second elongate knuckles.
PRESS ARRANGEMENT AND METHOD FOR PRESSING A FIBROUS WEB
A press arrangement for pressing a web of fibrous material includes at least two presses which are arranged one behind the other in a direction of travel of the web of fibrous material, the at least two presses including a first press and a second press following the first press, the first press including a first press nip, the second press including a second press nip which is an extended press nip, the second press being configured for being operated at a linear load of at least 500 kN/m, the second press being configured such that a quotient of an average pressure and a peak pressure in the second press nip is less than 0.5, the second press being configured for applying the peak pressure of at least 12 MPa onto the web of fibrous material.
