Medical Sheet
To provide a medical sheet with which a surface (a portion) subjected to ion bombardment, and a surface (a portion) which has not been subjected to ion bombardment can be distinguished from each other; and a production method therefor. When b refers to the difference between value b1, which is the b value of a roughened surface portion 3, and value b2, which is the b value of a second surface 7, this medical sheet has a b in the range of 1.5-11 inclusive. A production method for the medical sheet includes: a surface roughening step in which a portion or the entirety of a first surface 5 of a sheet including polytetrafluoroethylene is subjected to surface roughening treatment to form a roughened surface portion 5; and a heating step in which the sheet which includes the polytetrafluoroethylene and which has undergone the surface roughening step is heated to obtain the medical sheet.
SILANE BASED SURFACES WITH EXTREME WETTABILITIES
In various aspects, the present disclosure provides porous materials having extreme wettability to polar or non-polar fluids, such as water and oil. The porous material has a coated surface comprising a low surface energy fluoroalkyl silane that is treated to exhibit at least one type of extreme wettability. In certain aspects, the disclosure provides a porous material comprising a coated surface that is both superhydrophobic and oleophilic, or superhydrophobic and superoleophobic, or superhydrophilic and oleophobic, by way of example. Methods of forming a porous surface having a predetermined wettability are also provided. Other embodiments include fluidic devices that incorporate porous materials having extreme wettabilities, such as microfluidic devices and separators.

Foam-based manufacturing system and process
A system comprising a pulper configured to (i) accept surfactant, a liquid and fiber stock and (ii) generate a foam that suspends the fiber stock, wherein the foam has a half-life; a headbox configured to receive the foam-suspended fiber stock from the pulper and displace the foam-suspended fiber stock onto a forming wire, wherein a time it takes the foam-suspended fiber stock to move from the pulper to the headbox is less than the half-life; and a foam return device that removes at least some of the foam from the forming wire and returns the at least some of the foam to the pulper.
Hot-press gas grafting hydrophobization apparatus, and eco-friendly oil-absorbing low- weight paper manufactured using same
The present invention relates to a press-heating gas grafting hydrophobization apparatus, and a hot water-resistant paper and an oil-absorbing paper manufactured using the press-heating gas grafting hydrophobization apparatus. In the press-heating gas grafting hydrophobization apparatus according to the present invention, since a non-air-permeable dryer belt is provided surrounding and pressing a drying roller to prevent dissipation from a base material of a fatty acid chloride vaporized by the drying roller, the press-heating gas grafting hydrophobization apparatus has an advantage of improving efficiency of a gas grafting reaction. Therefore, by using the press-heating gas grafting hydrophobization apparatus according to the present invention, the reaction amount of fatty acid chloride per unit area can be remarkably improved.
Water repellent oil repellent agent and method for producing same, and water repellent oil repellent product and method for producing same
A water- and oil-repellent agent contains cellulose nanofibers, a compound having at least one functional group of an oxazoline group, a carbodiimide group, an epoxy group and an isocyanate group, as a crosslinking agent, and a perfluoroalkyl compound.
RECYCLABLE, SELF-CLEANING CELLULOSE-FIBER COMPOSITES

UV-CURABLE ETHYLENE SCAVENGING COMPOSITIONS
The invention relates to a UV-curable composition comprising: (i) a silicone comprising epoxy groups; (ii) an iodonium salt; and (iii) a metal-doped zeolite. A kit, from which the UV curable composition may be prepared and which also forms part of the invention, comprises: a first part comprising component (iii) dispersed in component (ii), and a second part comprising component (ii). The invention also relates to a method of preparing a material for the adsorption of ethylene by applying the UV curable composition onto a substrate and curing the material with UV light. The resulting cured materials also form part of the invention.
Hydrolysable sheet
A toilet cleaning sheet 100 includes a multi-ply base paper sheet that is substantially water-dispersible. The multi-ply base paper sheet contains pulp and a water-soluble binder and is impregnated with an aqueous chemical agent. The basis weight of the multi-ply base paper sheet is 30 gsm to 150 gsm, and the content of the water-soluble binder increases towards a front surface and/or a back surface.
