Barrier layer for cellulose substrate
In a method for the production of coated substrates, a flowable, biologically degradable first coating which enhances gas tightness is applied to a cellulose-containing substrate. To obtain a packaging consisting only of natural components and offering good tightness, a second watertight coating made of animal and/or vegetable waxes and/or lipids is applied to the first coating.

COATED PAPER FOR USE AS PACKAGING MATERIAL
The present invention relates to a, preferably heat-sealable, coated paper comprising a cellulose layer and a coating on at least one side of the cellulose layer, wherein the coating comprises a wax and a polymer selected from the group consisting of polyester, polysaccharide, polysaccharide ester, polysaccharide ether and polysaccharide ether ester, and a packaging comprising the coated paper, as well as a method of manufacturing a coated paper.
MOLDED PRODUCT WITH CONNECTION ELEMENT
The invention relates to a molded product made of fiber material with a connection element (11). In order to achieve a particularly firm anchoring of the connection element (11) in the fiber material of the molded product, the connection element (11) has a connecting wall (17) with holes (18) through which the fiber material of the molded product projects.
AQUEOUS COATING COMPOSITION
The invention relates to an aqueous coating composition, a process for preparing the same, and a coated article. The aqueous coating composition comprises (a) a polymer A comprising units derived from an alpha-olefin and one or more comonomers selected from the group of methacrylates, acrylates, methacrylic acid, acrylic acid, maleates, maleic acid, maleic anhydride, and salts thereof; (b) a polymer B comprising units derived from one or more monomers selected from the group of methacrylates, acrylates, methacrylic acid, acrylic acid, maleates, maleic acid, maleic anhydride, and salts thereof; (c) at least one pigment in an amount in the range of 0.1 to 30 wt. %, based on the total dry weight of the coating composition, the at least one pigment being selected from the group consisting of clay minerals, silicates, brucite, magnesium carbonate, barite, perlite, satin white, gypsum, aluminum oxide, titanium dioxide, surface-reacted calcium carbonates, and mixtures thereof; (d) optionally wax.
EMULSION FROM THE OXIDATION PRODUCTS OF NATURAL WAXES, HAVING IMPROVED BARRIER PROPERTIES
The invention relates to an emulsion from the oxidation products of natural waxes, having improved barrier properties, to a process of producing such an emulsion, and to cellulose fiber articles or biopolymers coated with such an emulsion from the oxidation products of natural waxes. The invention further relates to the use of such an emulsion for coating substrates that contain cellulose fibers or biopolymers.
