The invention discloses a paperboard for packaging of a heat-sealable packaging material comprising: a paperboard substrate comprising a first and a second side, a first and an optional second dispersion coating layer on the first side, which first and optional second dispersion coating layer provides a barrier against at least one of liquid, moisture, grease and gas, an extrusion coated barrier layer comprising a polyolefin, wherein the first and optional second dispersion coating layer is applied between the paperboard substrate and the extrusion coated barrier layer, and wherein the coat weight of the extrusion coated barrier layer is less than 15 gsm. The packaging material according of the invention minimizes the amount of plastic coating, but still provides the needed barrier properties for the packaging of food and/or liquid. The packaging material has especially been shown to provide a longer shelf life for food items packed in a packaging made from the material. Especially, the packaging material provides gas-, liquid and/or grease barrier properties. Although the packaging material comprises such low amount of extruded thermoplastic polymers, the material is readily heat-sealable.

LAYERED BODY AND PAPER PRODUCT OBTAINED USING SAME

A layered body having both high steam-barrier properties and gas-barrier properties which results in an increase in the paper percentage (biomass percentage). The layered body includes, in this order, a paper substrate layer, a barrier layer, and a sealant layer containing wax. The barrier layer contains a polyurethane resin, a flat inorganic compound having an average thickness of 50 nm or thinner and an average aspect ratio of 200 or greater, and a cationic resin.

A MARINE BIODEGRADABLE AND RECYCLABLE PAPER-BASED PACKAGING MATERIAL WITH HIGH MOISTURE AND OXYGEN BARRIER PROPERTIES

The present invention is directed to a marine biodegradable and recyclable multi-layer metallized paper-based packaging material comprising a layered arrangement of superimposed organic and inorganic materials for providing barrier to oxygen and moisture: the organic and inorganic layers are made of materials which are selected for their marine biodegradable properties. In one embodiment of the present invention the multi-layer metallized paper-based packaging material can be recycled with other paper packaging materials.

DECORATIVE SHEET

A decorative sheet includes a primary film layer and a surface protection layer provided on one surface of the primary film layer. The surface protection layer has a surface provided with an uneven structure having a plurality of ridged portions protruding in a ridged pattern. The uneven structure of the surface protection layer 5 has a reduced peak height Rpk of 3.5 m or more. The surface protection layer has a mass concentration of carbon C (% by mass), a mass concentration of oxygen O (% by mass), and a mass concentration of silicon Si (% by mass) satisfying the following relational expression: 0.5{Si/(C+O+Si)}100.

The methods and compositions of the present disclosure pertain to a package blank, having one or more fiber containing layers and having die cut edges. The methods and compositions provide multi-surface barrier protection for alcohol and liquid permeation along multiple axis of the packaging blank. The packaging blank can have many exposed surfaces depending upon how the blank is designed and cut from a sheet or roll. The methods and compositions provide permeation protection for the entire package, including the flat surfaces and the cut edge surfaces that make liquid contact, particularly alcohol, which are found enclosed or within the finished packaging structure. This is accomplished by both coating the blanks and structural methods of cutting, die cutting, and folding techniques.

LAMINATE AND PACKAGING BAG

A laminate including a base paper and a gas barrier resin layer provided directly on the base paper, in which a binder resin contained in the gas barrier resin layer includes at least one selected from the group consisting of polyolefin resins and polyvinyl alcohol-based resins, the gas barrier resin layer contains an inorganic pigment in a first region extending from a surface thereof on the base paper side to 50% of the total thickness of the gas barrier resin layer, and 80% by volume or more of the total amount of the inorganic pigment contained in the gas barrier resin layer is present in the first region.

COATING AGENT AND LAMINATE

In a coating agent obtained by water-dispersing a polyurethane resin, the polyurethane resin is a secondary reaction product of an isocyanate group-terminated prepolymer and a chain extender. The isocyanate group-terminated prepolymer is a primary reaction product of a polyisocyanate component containing a xylylene diisocyanate and/or a hydrogenated xylylene diisocyanate, and an active hydrogen group-containing component containing a short chain diol having 2 to 6 carbon atoms and an active hydrogen compound having a hydrophilic group; and the viscosity at 25 C. of the coating agent is 50 mPa.Math.s or more.
