METHODS AND COMPOSITIONS FOR TREATING MOVEMENT DISORDERS
Disclosed herein are methods and compositions for the treatment of movement disorders including neuromuscular disorders, muscular injuries, and spasticity-associated conditions. Methods of treatment include reducing skeletal muscle contractions to reduce muscle damage by inhibiting skeletal muscle myosin II.
FFA1 (GPR40) as a therapeutic target for neural angiogenesis diseases or disorders
The instant invention provides methods and compositions related to discovery of Free Fatty Acid Receptor 1 (FFA1) as a therapeutic target for treatment or prevention of diseases or disorders of neurons that are characterized by angiogenesis, or of vascular diseases of the eye, retinal degeneration and/or tumors more generally. Therapeutic and/or prophylactic uses and compositions of known FFA1 inhibitors, including small molecules and nucleic acid agents, are described. Methods for identification of novel FFA1 inhibitors are also provided.
USE OF BELINOSTAT OR PHARMACEUTICALLY ACCEPTABLE SALT THEREOF IN PREPARATION OF DRUG FOR TREATING INFECTION
Disclosed is the use of Belinostat or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof in preparation of a drug for treating an infection. Also disclosed are related methods and compositions.
Method of administering sotalol IV/switch
Embodiments of the invention are broadly drawn to methods for determining an optimum dose of an antiarrhythmic drug, for example sotalol. In particular, the method involves titrating the dose of the drug gradually to determine the optimum plasma concentration for a patient, whether the patient has normal or abnormal renal function.

Treatment of Canine Cancers
Described herein are methods useful for the treatment of cancers in a canine subject with a pharmaceutical compositions comprising HD AC inhibitors, Rapamycin, Dasatinib, Lapatinib, Trametinib, Vorinostat, Imatinib, Crizotinib, Sorafenib, and combinations thereof. Also described herein are methods for identification of subjects with cancers that will benefit from administration of the pharmaceutical compositions comprising HD AC inhibitors, Rapamycin, Dasatinib, Lapatinib, Trametinib, Vorinostat, Imatinib, Crizotinib, Sorafenib, and combinations thereof. In certain aspects, the methods described herein further comprise administering a therapeutically effective amount of at least one additional anti-cancer agent.
COMPOUNDS AND METHODS FOR IMPROVING IMPAIRED ENDOGENOUS FIBRINOLYSIS USING HISTONE DEACETYLASE INHIBITORS
There is provided a compound which is a histone deacetylase (HDAC) inhibitor, or a pharmaceutically acceptable ester, amide, solvate or salt thereof, for use in: (I) treating or preventing a pathological condition associated with excess fibrin deposition and/or thrombus formation; and/or (II) potentiating the degradation of fibrin deposits and preventing such deposits associated with pathological conditions or which may lead to such conditions, wherein the HDAC inhibitor, and the dose thereof, is as described in the description. There is also provided valproic add, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, for use in improving or normalizing endogenous fibrinolysis impaired by local or systemic inflammation.
