Yarn texturizing apparatus and method
A yarn texturizing apparatus and method for texturizing a plurality of yarns, which can include a tack assembly and a jet box assembly. The tack assembly can be configured to receive a bundle of yarns and impart a plurality of twists to each bundle of yarns and subsequently impart a first tack point at a point corresponding to a twist reversal between the twists. The downstream jet box assembly can be configured to place a plurality of additional tack points intermittently along the plurality of twists of each bundle of yarn.
YARN, METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR PRODUCING YARN AND PRODUCTS FORMED THEREFROM
Yarns include one or more strands, each strand including an outer twisted with a continuous or substantially continuous core, the outer including coarse wool fibres. The coarse wool has average fibre diameter greater than 26 microns. The yarn may be worsted or semi-worsted. Fabrics and/or garments may be produced from the yarn.
Cotton-based elasticised yarns to make environment-friendly elasticised fabrics
A method for making an elastic core yarn includes covering an elastic core having a fiber of natural rubber with metric count 200-1000 dtex with a cotton-based covering yarn. The elastic core and the covering yarn are conveyed such that the covering yarn laterally attains a proximity of the elastic core in a wrapping space. The covering yarn is helically wrapped about the elastic core. The conveying speed, and therefore the winding/unwinding speed, is selected such that the elastic core is stretched to a stretching ratio of at least two, and the covering yarn becomes twisted with a final twist direction opposite to its initial twist direction, and forms T coils per length unit of the elastic fiber set between a minimum value T0 and a maximum value T1. An elasticized yarn is thereby obtained, and a fabric, in particular a denim type fabric, is manufactured from this yarn.
Drive belt, use of a drive belt of this type as a V-ribbed belt, and production method
The invention relates to a drive belt (1) having a main body into which one or more tension strands (3) composed of para-aramid in cord construction are embedded, wherein each tension strand (3) has twisted plies each formed from at least one twisted yarn, and wherein the turning direction of the respective ply (first twist) is the opposite of the turning direction of the cord (final twist). It is a feature of the invention that the tension strands (3) each have at least four plies, wherein the twist factor TM.sub.1 of the plies (first twist) is between 4.5 and 5.4, and the twist factor TM.sub.2 of the cord (final twist) is between 2.7 and 3.8, and the ratio of the twist factor of the plies to the twist factor of the cord (TM.sub.1/TM.sub.2) is between 1.3 and 1.5.
BUFFER METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR ALTERNATING TWIST PLIED YARN
The present invention relates to an improved system and method for the production of heatset yarns, in particular for the production of heatset alternating S/Z cabled yarns. The invention also relates to the product obtained according to the method, namely an improved heatset twist plied yarn.
THERMAL AND CUT RESISTANT GLOVE
A thermal and cut resistant glove includes a main body portion that encloses the palm and back of a user's hand, finger portions and a thumb portion. The glove is knitted as a single layer of material formed from a yarn that is a composite yarn having a core constructed of one or more core filaments and a sheath constructed of two or more filaments. The glove exhibits a temperature differential of no more than about 1.3 degrees C. when the front or rear side of the glove is positioned between a refrigerated cold source and a thermocouple after a period of 15 minutes, exhibits a cut resistance of at least about 3500 grams when measured in accordance with ASTM Standard F2992-15, Standard Test Method for Measuring Cut Resistance of Materials Used in Protective Clothing with Tomodynamometer (TDM-100), exhibits an abrasion resistance of at least 2500 cycles when measured tested in accordance with ASTM Standard D3884-07, Standard Guide for Abrasion Resistance of Textile Fabrics, exhibits a time increase of no more than about 25 percent to perform a stated task when measured in accordance with ASTM Standard F2010-10, Standard Test Method for Evaluation of Glove Effects on Wearer Hand Dexterity.
Hygro Flat Woven Fabrics, Articles, And Related Processes
A woven fabric and related process that includes hygro yarn structures with hollow cores that formed into flat woven fabrics suitable for bedding applications.
Improved Jet and Method
The present invention relates to an improved system for fabricating alternating S/Z cabled yarn, for alternating S/Z twisted yarn and for (whether or not alternately) applying a torsion to a yarn, in which critical air flow conditions are obtained at least at the outlet (43) of the torsion chamber (41) of the devices. Moreover, the present invention relates to a method for fabricating alternating S/Z cabled yarn, for alternating S/Z twisted yarn and for (whether or not alternately) applying a torsion to a yarn under critical air flow conditions at least at the outlet of the torsion chamber used in the method, and a product according to these methods.
METHOD FOR STARTING A SPINDLE OF A CABLING OR TWO-FOR-ONE TWISTING MACHINE
A method for starting a spindle of a cabling or two-for-one twisting machine, wherein a yarn reserve is formed on a take-up package, the machine has a workstation having a spindle pot for holding a first feed package and having a spindle rotor with a lateral outlet below the spindle pot, an outer yarn from one feed package is wound around an inner yarn from another feed package and the outer yarn is guided through the spindle shaft and its lateral outlet in a balloon orbiting the spindle pot to a yarn-guiding device above the spindle which merges the two yarn supplies, and a winding device in which the produced twist is wound onto the take-up package. A ratio of the take-up speed of the twist to the rotation speed of the spindle rotor is increased in comparison with the production data is used during creation of the yarn reserve.
