PREPARATION OF ENGINEERED FABRICS WITH SUPERIOR ABSORPTION PROPERTIES
This disclosure relates generally to the preparation of eco-friendly engineered fabric, and more particularly to terry fabric and variations thereof. In one embodiment, a terry fabric is comprised of a soluble fiber blend, blended with cotton fibers, where the soluble fibers are dissolved in a caustic or enzyme solution to create highly porous yarns.
FIBERS, WOVEN FABRICS INCLUDING THE FIBERS, AND METHODS OF MANUFACTURING THE SAME
Fibers, yarns, woven fabric including the yarns and fibers, and methods of manufacturing the same are disclosed. Fibers can include base material staple fibers and dissolvable or water-soluble fibers that are mixed together to define an ultra-homogenous yarn comprising base material and dissolvable material, which is provided in at least the warp direction to form a woven fabric having a 7-end, 8-end or 10-end sateen weave. A processing step provides for the removal of the dissolvable fibers to produce a yarn defining a plurality of pores that are uniformly distributed throughout the structure of the yarn. The woven fabric has a thread count between 450-1200. The woven fabric is thermally-insulative, breathable and moisture-wicking.
METALLIC REINFORCING CORD FOR TYRES FOR VEHICLE WHEELS AND TYRE COMPRISING SAID METALLIC REINFORCING CORD
The invention relates to a metallic reinforcing cord (10) for tyres for vehicle wheels, comprising from two to ten metallic wires (11) twisted together with a twisting pitch (P) and each having a predetermined diameter. In at least some cross sections of the metallic reinforcing cord (10), at least two of said metallic wires (11) are arranged to a minimum mutual distance greater than, or equal to, 2.5 times the predetermined diameter.
Method for Cutting Composite Membrane Material with Elastic Membrane Material and Composite Filament with Elastic Filament
The invention provides a method for cutting a composite membrane material, firstly, manufacturing a composite membrane material, the composite membrane material is formed by combining an elastic membrane material with at least one shaping membrane, the elastic membrane material has stretchability and elasticity; the shaping membrane is capable of dissolving in water, and a rigidity thereof is greater than that of the elastic membrane material, and a ductility thereof is lower than that of the elastic membrane material; and cutting the composite membrane material into a plurality of composite filaments with a cutting device, and each of the composite filaments comprises an elastic filament and at least one shaping filament. The composite filament can be used by textile machinery to make textiles. Dissolving the shaping filament in the composite filament is capable of obtaining the elastic filament.
ELASTIC THREAD WITH LIMITED ELASTICITY AND TEXTILE WITH SUCH ELASTIC THREAD
The invention relates to an elastic thread with limited elasticity, comprising: an elastic thread and a shaping layer combined with the elastic thread. The elastic thread itself has stretchable elasticity; the shaping layer is a high polymer material capable of dissolving in water. When the elastic thread is kept in a combined state with the shaping layer, an elasticity of the elastic thread is greatly reduced, and the elastic thread can be made into a textile, or used as an upper thread for sewing threads and embroidery threads, or as an upper thread for jacquard weave. When the shaping layer is dissolved, the elastic thread restores its original elasticity. The textile made with the elastic thread is soft and has stretchable elasticity.
Process for manufacturing air rich yarn and air rich fabric
A process for manufacturing air-rich yarn and air-rich fabric is provided. The process of the present invention uses optimized parameters for blending, doubling, drafting and spinning in draw frame, roving frame and ring frame respectively. The process of the present invention provides an air rich yarn comprising a plurality of fibers of a water soluble material interlinked and distributed homogenously across a cross-section of the yarn using the optimized parameters. The plurality of fibers of water soluble material after treatment with water provides an improved air rich yarn comprising a plurality of interlinked through-pores distributed homogenously across the cross-section of the yarn. Further, the present invention provides a process of preparing an air-rich fabric from the air-rich yarn, where the fabric exhibits high wettability, easy dry ability, quick absorbency and increased thickness due to homogenous distribution of the plurality of interlinked through-pores across the cross-section of the yarn.
NANOFIBER YARN DISPENSER
A dispenser is described for dispensing nanofiber yarns that includes a housing that defines an inlet, an outlet, and a chamber. A spool, around which is wound a length of nanofiber yarn, is disposed within the chamber defined by the housing. The nanofiber yarn is threaded from the chamber through the outlet and can be dispensed in a controlled way that reduces the likelihood of developing knots within the nanofiber yarn, and which facilitates convenient application of the yarn onto an underlying surface. In some cases, the dispenser can be used to concurrently dispense an adhesive or other polymer along with the nanofiber yarn.
PILE FABRIC
Provided is a pile fabric that can provide both a soft touch feel and durability (pile retention and/or suppression of pile loss). The pile fabric is provided with a base structure formed from a warp and weft and a loop pile formed from pile yarn. The pile yarn is twisted yarn with a twist factor of 2.0 or greater. When the pile yarn is untwisted yarn or weakly twisted yarn, insoluble yarn prior to water soluble yarn elimination is twisted yarn with a twist factor of 2.0 or greater. The proportion of pile height to pile yarn diameter is 40 or greater. The gap between adjacent pile yarn strands is 0.5 mm or less. The pile yarn is 50-120 English yarn count. The loop pile has snarling, and the snarling for adjacent piles is entangled.
METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING A STRETCH FABRIC COMPRISING PLANT FIBRES AND STRETCH FABRIC MANUFACTURED BY SUCH METHOD
A method includes the operating steps of providing a stretch twisted yarn including a plurality of single threads twisted together. A pair of mixed threads has substantially inextensible plant fibers mixed with water-soluble fibers, and an elastic single thread includes synthetic elastic fibers. The method further includes providing a further yarn, manufacturing a fabric through weaving by interlacing the twisted yarn with the further yarn, and dissolving the water-soluble fibers from the fabric.
COILED ACTUATOR SYSTEM AND METHOD
A method of generating a coiled actuator fiber that includes twisting a fiber to generate a twisted fiber; wrapping the twisted fiber around a core yarn or fiber to generate a coil in the twisted fiber, which generates a coiled twisted fiber; setting the coiled twisted fiber by heat or chemical treatment; and removing at least a portion of the core yarn or fiber to generate a coiled actuator fiber.
