BEADED NONWOVEN MEMBRANE AS A DRUG DELIVERY SYSTEM
It relates to a beaded nonwoven membrane comprising polymeric nanofibers and at least one active agent, wherein the active agent has a water solubility equal to or lower than 33 mg/mL. It also relates to a process for the preparation of the beaded nonwoven membrane, and to its use in medical, and veterinary applications.
LOW BASIS WEIGHT FLAME RETARDANT SCRIM, ARTICLES, AND METHODS
A scrim is described comprising a plurality of fibers and a coating disposed on the scrim wherein the coating comprises a binder and a flame retardant additive. The scrim has a basis weight less than or equal to 200 grams/m.sup.2 and passes the UL94-V0 flammability standard. The scrim may be incorporated into other articles and methods. Also described is a flame retardant coating composition.
BIODEGRADABLE LAYERED COMPOSITE
Biodegradable layered composite comprising a first nonwoven biodegradable layer having a first and second major surface, the first nonwoven biodegradable layer comprising biodegradable polymeric melt-blown fibers, and a plurality of particles enmeshed in the biodegradable polymeric melt-blown fibers; and a biodegradable polymer film on at least a portion of the first major surface of the first nonwoven biodegradable layer. Biodegradable layered composite described herein can be used, for example, as biomulch for controlling weed growth and moisture.

Surgical swab composed of non-woven fabric and textile polymer net
The present application describes a surgical swab composed of two or more outer layers made of non-woven fabric and an inner layer of a textile polymer net, with or without x-ray detectable thread, which can be obtained, for example, by a process of knitting or weaving. The textile net can present in its composition materials with high elasticity such as elastane or alternatively combinations of materials that allow shrinking after heat treatment such as the polyamide or polyamide and polyester or even polyamide and cotton. In the present application, it is also described the production process of this surgical swab which, after the junction and overlapping of the non-woven fabric layers and the inner layer of textile polymer net, comprises ultrasound welding of the layers. The surgical swabs of this application present improved performance features and the production process involved is simple, economical and automated.

COMPOSITE NONWOVEN SHEET MATERIAL
A composite nonwoven sheet material includes pulp fibers, a reinforcement material and microfibers. The sheet material has one pulp-enriched first outer layer and one microfiber-enriched second outer layer, the reinforcement material is thereby interposed between the pulp-enriched first outer layer and the microfiber-enriched second outer layer and the pulp fibers and the microfibers penetrate the reinforcement material. Also disclosed is a process of producing such composite nonwoven sheet material and the use of such composite nonwoven sheet material.

Nonwoven molded article
A nonwoven molded article may include at least one thermoformed nonwoven fabric. The fabric may include structural fibers having polyethylene terephthalate, first bicomponent binder fibers, optional second binder fibers, and optional additives. The first bicomponent binder fibers may include matrix-forming polyethylene-terephthalate having a semicrystalline sheathing material having a melting point ranging from 90 to 175° C. The optional second bicomponent binder fibers may include matrix-forming polyethylene-terephthalate having a semicrystalline sheathing material and differ from the first bicomponent binder fibers.
DRYING AND/OR CLEANING CLOTH
Drying and/or cleaning cloth with a square surface with two sides which are each delimited by two longitudinal edges and two transverse edges, wherein the drying and/or cleaning cloth in the area has an opening for reaching through at least one transverse edge or one longitudinal edge.
