BIODEGRADABLE TEXTILES, MASTERBATCHES, AND METHOD OF MAKING BIODEGRADABLE FIBERS
A masterbatch is disclosed, along with associated methods, and biodegradable filaments, fibers, yarns and fabrics. The masterbatch includes 0.2 to 5 mass % CaCO.sub.3, an aliphatic polyester with a repeat unit having from two to six carbons in the chain between ester groups, with the proviso that the 2 to 6 carbons in the chain do not include side chain carbons, and a carrier polymer selected from the group consisting of PET, nylon, other thermoplastic polymers, and combinations thereof.
Fiber assembly and liquid absorbent sheet-like article including the same and method of manufacturing fiber assembly
A fiber assembly including fibrils including a fibril which is a part of a fiber extending in a direction of thickness of the fiber assembly and including a network structure formed with a binding portion resulting at least any from binding between fibrils and binding between a fibril and a fiber in at least any end portion in the direction of thickness of the fiber assembly and a liquid absorbent sheet-like article including the same as well as a fiber assembly which is excellent in diffusion of a liquid particularly at a surface and absorption thereof in the inside and includes fibrils and a liquid absorbent sheet-like article including the same as well as a method of manufacturing the fiber assembly can be provided.
SANITARY MASK SHEET
A sanitary mask sheet, in which a WC value indicating a work volume up to a maximum pressure in a thickness direction is 0.3 Pa.Math.m or more, and a capture rate of particles having a particle diameter of more than 1 m is 85% or more.
HIGH-POROSITY NANOFIBER NONWOVENS AS A SUPPORT STRUCTURE FOR STROMAL TISSUE
The present invention relates to nanofiber nonwovens comprising a network of nanofibers, which are composed of at least one nanofiber material and which enclose pores, to methods for producing nanofiber nonwovens, to the use thereof as well as to artificial tissue comprising these nanofiber nonwovens and methods for producing these artificial tissues.
A NONWOVEN DECONTAMINATION WIPE COMPRISING A SMALL DIAMETER FIBER
Described herein is a nonwoven wipe comprising a plurality of polyolefin fibers, wherein the plurality of polyolefin fibers have an average fiber diameter of at least 200 nm and at most 3.5 micrometers, and wherein the plurality of polyolefin fibers have a basis weight of at least 20 and no more than 100 grams per square meter. Such nonwoven wipes can be used with an aqueous solution, optionally comprising an active ingredient, to decontaminate a surface. Also disclosed herein in a decontamination kit providing the same and a method of decontaminating a surface.
Heat sink with carbon-nanostructure-based fibres
The invention relates to a heat sink (1) having a main body (2) and a plurality of carbon-nanostructure-based fibres (CNB, 3), more particularly carbon nano tubes (CNT, 4) or graphene fibres, of which at least some are attached to the main body (2). According to the invention, the fibres (3, 4), by adhering to or supporting one another, form a volume structure (12), more particularly in the manner of cotton wool, felt or a spun yarn, or the fibres (3, 4) form loops (6) or a three-dimensional woven fabric.
LAMINATED NONWOVEN FABRIC
The present invention provides a laminated nonwoven fabric achieving both handling properties during manufacturing and use and adherence to a skin surface at a high level particularly when used for a face mask. The laminated nonwoven fabric includes a nonwoven fabric layer (A) and a nonwoven fabric layer (B). The nonwoven fabric layer (A) is formed from a fiber A having a single fiber diameter of 50 nm or more and 800 nm or less, and the nonwoven fabric layer (B) is formed from a fiber B having a single fiber diameter of 3 m or more and 30 m or less. The nonwoven fabric layer (B) includes 15 to 40% by mass of a fiber B1 to all of the fibers constituting the nonwoven fabric layer (B), the fiber having tensile strength of 2.0 cN/dtex or less as measured based on JIS L 1015: 2010 8.7.2. The nonwoven fabric layer (B) Includes a fiber B2 having tensile strength exceeding 2.0 cN/dtex as measured based on JIS L 1015: 2010 8.7.2. The nonwoven fabric layer (A) is disposed as an outermost layer of at least one surface.
NONWOVEN FILTRATION MEDIA INCLUDING MICROFIBRILLATED CELLULOSE FIBERS
A nonwoven filtration medium that includes a fibrous base media including synthetic and/or natural fibers and micro fibrillated cellulose fibers.
Sheet Of Loop Material, Apparatus And Method For Forming Same
A web of nonwoven fabric suitable for, e.g., the loop portion of a hook-and-loop fastening system. The method for making this material relies on differential shrinkage of different layers to cause the loops to self-form. The method is robust and simpler than that previously used for similar constructions.
MULTILAYERED NONWOVEN FABRICS AND METHOD OF MAKING THE SAME
A nonwoven composite fabric including a first nonwoven layer composed substantially of meltblown fibers, the fibers within the first nonwoven layer having diameters that vary in accordance with a first distribution, a second nonwoven layer composed substantially of meltblown fibers, the fibers within the second nonwoven layer having diameters that vary in accordance with a second distribution, and a third nonwoven layer composed substantially of meltblown fibers, the third nonwoven layer disposed between the first and second nonwoven layers, the fibers within the third nonwoven layer having diameters that vary in accordance with a third distribution that is greater than the first and second distributions.
