Fabric having tobacco entangled with structural fibers

A smokeless tobacco product includes smokeless tobacco and structural fibers. The structural fibers forming a network in which the smokeless tobacco is entangled. The structural fibers have a composition different from the smokeless tobacco. The tobacco-entangled fabric can have an overall oven volatiles content of at least 10 weight percent. In some embodiments, the structural fibers form a nonwoven network. In some embodiments, fibrous structures of the smokeless tobacco are entangled with the structural fibers.

Microfibrous product and the use thereof for the preparation of covers and cases

The invention refers to a process for the preparation of a microfibrous non-woven fabric based on polyester or polyamide microfibers immersed in a polyurethane matrix, and having a thickness equal to or less than 0.65 mm, a flat or slightly mottled appearance and a nap length of less than 350 μm. The non-woven fabric is used for the preparation of coverings for consumer goods, particularly for the preparation of covers and cases for electronic products.

Electret webs with charge-enhancing additives

Electret webs include a thermoplastic resin and a charge-enhancing additive. The charge-enhancing additive is a divalent metal-containing substituted-mercaptobenzimidazolate salt. The electret webs may be a non-woven fibrous web or a film. The electret webs are suitable for use as filter media.

Formation of hydrated nanocellulose sheets with or without a binder for the use as a dermatological treatment

The present invention is a hydrated, nanocellulose nonwoven sheet and method for manufacturing the nanocellulose sheet having dermatologically active ingredients. The sheet is formed through a high pressure or vacuum filtration process from a dilute suspension. This suspension, which contains the nanocellulose, may also contain dermatologically active ingredients. The dermatologically active ingredients are incorporated into the unwoven sheet. The dilute suspension may contain binding agents that improve the strength of the nonwoven nanocellulose sheet. These binding agents can also be cross-linked after the formation of the sheet by applying other chemical agents or treating the sheet after formation.

Mounting mat for a pollution control device

The present invention provides a mounting mat (30) for mounting a pollution control element (20) or monolith in a pollution control device (10), said mounting mat comprising a layer having a mixture of long and short fibers wherein said short fibers have a length of not more than about 13 mm and wherein said long fibers have a length of at least about 20 mm and wherein the amount of said short fibers is at least about 3% by weight based on the total weight of said mixture of long and short fibers.

NONWOVEN FABRIC FOR SKIN CARE PRODUCTS, FACE MASK, AND CLEANSING SHEET

Provided is a nonwoven fabric for skin care products. The nonwoven fabric includes: a thermoplastic resin fiber having a single fiber diameter of 50 nm or more and 800 nm or less; and a cellulose fiber. A tensile strength of the cellulose fiber measured in accordance with JIS L 1015:2010 8.7.2 is 1.9 cN/dtex or less, a total content of the thermoplastic resin fiber and the cellulose fiber is 85% by mass or more relative to a total mass of the nonwoven fabric for skin care products, a content ratio by mass of the thermoplastic resin fiber and the cellulose fiber (thermoplastic resin fiber/cellulose fiber) is 0.23 to 1.50, and a density of the nonwoven fabric for skin care products is 0.08 g/cm.sup.3 to 0.16 g/cm.sup.3.

FORCESPINNING OF FIBERS AND FILAMENTS

Among other things, the inventive subject matter generally relates to nonwoven textiles consisting of webs of superfine fibers, i.e., fibers with diameters in nanoscale or micronscale ranges, for use in articles that have, for example a predetermined degree of waterproofness with breathability, or windproofness with breathability.

FIBROUS STRUCTURES EXHIBITING IMPROVED WHITENESS INDEX VALUES

Fibrous structures, for example sanitary tissue products, containing a plurality of filaments that employ one or more filament-forming materials, such as one or more hydroxyl polymers, and one or more hueing agents, present within the filaments such that the fibrous structures exhibit a Whiteness Index of greater than 72 as measured according to the Whiteness Index Test Method described herein.

HEAT SINK WITH CARBON-NANOSTRUCTURE-BASED FIBRES

The invention relates to a heat sink (1) having a main body (2) and a plurality of carbon-nanostructure-based fibres (CNB, 3), more particularly carbon nano tubes (CNT, 4) or graphene fibres, of which at least some are attached to the main body (2). According to the invention, the fibres (3, 4), by adhering to or supporting one another, form a volume structure (12), more particularly in the manner of cotton wool, felt or a spun yarn, or the fibres (3, 4) form loops (6) or a three-dimensional woven fabric.
