Bleaching and shive reduction process for non-wood fibers
The present invention is directed to a method of increasing the brightness of non-wood fibers. The method comprises forming a mixture of non-wood fibers and exposing the mixture to a brightening agent, the brightening agent being a permanganate compound, an acid, or a combination of the permanganate compound and the acid. The resulting brightened fibers have a brightness greater than the fibers of the mixture before exposure as measured by MacBeth UV-C standard.

Hydro-formed film with three-dimensional micro-apertures
A hydro-formed film includes a polymeric web having a first substantially planar surface and a second substantially planar surface opposite the first substantially planar surface, and a plurality of three-dimensional micro-apertures extending from the first substantially planar surface. The plurality of three-dimensional micro-apertures have a mesh count in a range of about 40 to about 75 apertures per linear inch. The hydro-formed film has a Compression Sensor Point (CSP) count of at least about 80.

Multilayer Cover Nonwoven For a Vehicle Interior Lining, Interior Lining With Such a Cover Nonwoven And Method for Producing Such a Cover Nonwoven
The invention refers to a cover nonwoven for an interior lining for a vehicle, comprising a nonwoven fabric consisting of at least two nonwoven layers, a first nonwoven layer and a second nonwoven layer, wherein a first outer surface of the nonwoven fabric is formed by a surface of the first nonwoven layer and a second outer surface of the nonwoven fabric is formed by a surface of the second nonwoven layer, and wherein the first nonwoven layer and the second nonwoven layer are inseparably bonded on the entire surface.
According to the invention, the first nonwoven layer is formed of a rough polypropylene spunlaced nonwoven and the second nonwoven layer is formed of a dense polypropylene spun-bonded nonwoven, wherein the first outer surface of the nonwoven fabric is suitable for the application of a pressure-sensitive adhesive, and wherein the second outer surface of the nonwoven fabric has hydrophobic properties.

Multi-ply dispersible nonwoven fabric
The invention relates to a nonwoven fabric material having sufficient strength to be used in a pre-moistened state but also having dispersibility properties which allow the product to be flushed. The material comprises at least two nonwoven webs, at least one of which is hydroentangled. Each of the individual webs comprise 50%-95% wood pulp and 5%-50% of short cut man-made fibers and/or natural fibers and has a basis weight of 20-100 gsm. After forming the webs, the two nonwoven webs are dried and then joined together by particle binders through size press or spraying. The particle binder joined webs separate into individual webs after flushing due to the breakage of particle binder-nonwoven hydrogen bond which makes the material highly dispersible.

Nonwoven fabric for increasing the availability of quaternary ammonium in solution
Wipes for preventing quaternary ammonium (quat) depletion suitable for commercial applications (e.g., industrial and consumer disinfectant wipes) are provided. The wipe includes at least one nonwoven layer, at least one pulp layer, and a cationic additive. The at least one nonwoven layer and the at least one pulp layer may be hydroentangled to form a hydroentangled nonwoven fabric having a first surface and a second surface. Additionally, the cationic additive may be disposed on at least one of the first surface or the second surface.
