LAUNDRY TREATING APPLIANCE HAVING SENSORS, AND METHODS OF OPERATION
A laundry treating appliance for treating laundry according to an automatic cycle of operation includes a cabinet defining a cabinet interior. A drum is rotatable within the cabinet interior, and at least partially defines a treating chamber. The treating chamber has a treating chamber air inlet and a treating chamber air outlet. A drying air circuit is fluidly coupled to the treating chamber air inlet and to the treating chamber air outlet. The laundry treating appliance can include first and second air temperature sensors, at least a first humidity sensor, and a controller operably coupled with the sensors.
DRYER
A dryer includes a rotating drum; a lifter positionable on an inner surface of the rotating drum; an energy harvester positionable inside the lifter so that while the energy harvester is positioned inside the lifter, the energy harvester generates electric power as the rotating drum rotates while the lifter is positioned on the inner surface of the rotating drum; a humidity sensor positionable inside the lifter so that while the humidity sensor is positioned inside the lifter, the humidity sensor receives the electric power generated by the energy harvester and senses humidity; a circuit board positionable inside the lifter and on which the humidity sensor is disposed; and an air passage formed through the lifter so as to allow air inside the rotating drum to pass through the lifter. The humidity sensor senses the humidity according to air passing through the air passage of the lifter.
DRYER APPLIANCE AND METHOD FOR OPERATION
A dryer appliance, a controller, and a method for operation are provided. The controller is configured to execute steps of a method including receiving an input indicative of a drying cycle end time; determining a moisture extraction rate based at least in part on the received input indicative of drying cycle end time, the moisture extraction rate indicative of a rate at which moisture is removed from articles within a chamber of the dryer appliance; determining a rate of change of moisture extraction rate corresponding to the drying cycle end time; and adjusting a condensation rate based at least on the rate of change of moisture extraction rate and the received input indicative of the drying cycle end time.

DRYER AIRFLOW CALIBRATION AND ALERTS
Detection of airflow conditions, such as blockage issues, in a dryer laundry appliance is provided. A current or instant calibration is performed utilizing an airflow model to infer, based on current or instant sensor data from sensors of the dryer laundry appliance, an estimated airflow for an exhaust air conduit of the dryer laundry appliance. The estimated airflow is compared to a baseline airflow previously inferred by the airflow model during a baseline calibration using previous sensor data from the sensors of the dryer laundry appliance. An alert is provided responsive to the estimated airflow being below a threshold level relative to the baseline airflow.

DRYER APPLIANCE LOAD DETECTION
A method of operating a dryer appliance includes activating a heating system of the dryer appliance and tracking an energy output of the heating system. The method also includes determining a load score of a load of articles to be dried in the dryer appliance based on the tracked energy output and determining a termination criterion for a dry operation of the dryer appliance based on the load score. The method further includes performing the dry operation in the dryer appliance and terminating the dry operation when the determined termination criterion is reached.

Laundry treating appliance for drying laundry
A method of operating a laundry treating appliance with a treating chamber for treating a load of laundry the method comprising supplying a rinse to the treating chamber during a rinse cycle, rotating the treating chamber at a tumbling speed, spinning the treating chamber in an extraction cycle to remove excess moisture from the load of laundry, sensing a parameter indicative of a remaining moisture content value in the load of laundry, comparing the remaining moisture content value to a pre-determined remaining moisture content value.
