Flame resistant finished fabrics exhibiting water repellency and methods for making the same
Fabrics that are exhibit water repellency, abrasion resistance, and optionally flame resistance are described herein. The fabrics include a plurality of fibers (such as flame resistant fibers) and a finish that imparts water repellency and abrasion resistance to the fibers. The fabrics are free or substantially free from alkylfluoropolymers. Also described herein are garments including the fabrics.
Flame Retardant Fabric Comprising Cotton Alternative
The present disclosure relates to a flame retardant (FR) treated fabric, comprising yarns formed from a mixture of natural and/or synthetic fibres, the fabric further comprising FR treated lyocell fibres, wherein the FR treatment is a non-cellulose-reactive FR treatment and the FR treated lyocell fibres are rendered low-fibrillating e.g. whereby at least some of the hydroxyl groups are cross-linked with a reactant resin.
SOUND ABSORBING MATERIAL
A sound absorbing material includes a fiber group of inorganic fibers, a fiber group of organic fibers, or a fiber group of a fiber blend including the inorganic and organic fibers. In the fiber group, at least junctions between the fibers are coated with a polymeric coating film having a loss factor of 0.1 or more.

WET WIPES COMPRISING ANTIMICROBIAL COATING COMPOSITIONS
A wet wipe is disclosed that provides both contact sanitization of a surface and application of a residual antimicrobial coating on the surface through the same wiping. The wet wipe comprises a substrate such as an absorbent nonwoven fabric and a liquid composition impregnated therein, the liquid composition comprising an organosilane such as the antimicrobial dimethyloctadecyl[3-(trimethoxysilyl)propyl] ammonium chloride, a non-silane quaternary disinfectant, an organic amine, and a solvent. The non-silane quaternary actives comprise a mixture of actives, and the solvent comprises 60 wt. % isopropanol or more.

Flame Resistant Fabrics Having Improved Resistance to Surface Abrasion or Pilling and Methods for Making Them
Flame resistant fabrics and garments that have improved resistance to pilling and/or abrasion are disclosed. The fabrics, the fibers or yarns that make up the fabrics, or garments made from the fabrics are treated with a finish composition that is applied to the fibers, yarns, fabrics, or garments and then cured. The finish composition increases the resistance to pilling and/or abrasion of the fibers, yarns, fabrics, or garments. The finish composition includes a polymeric abrasion resistance aid, an alkylfluoropolymer, a polyethylene, and a wetting agent.

Curable fiberglass binder comprising salt of inorganic acid
Formaldehyde-free binder compositions are described that include an aldehyde or ketone, a nitrogen-containing salt of an inorganic acid, and an acidic compound. The acidic compound may be an organic acid, such as maleic acid or citric acid among others. The acidic compound is supplied in quantities that lower the pH of the binder composition to about 5 or less. The binder compositions may be used in methods of binding fiberglass and the resulting fiberglass products have an improved tensile strength due to the addition of the acidic compound.
