Silicone block copolymer having an aminofunctional endblocking group and method for its preparation and use
A silicone block copolymer having an aminofunctional endblocking group is useful in personal care applications, particularly hair care. A process for making the silicone block copolymer is also described.
Silicone copolymers production thereof and use thereof for treatment of fibrous substrates
Low molecular weight silicone copolymers prepared by reacting an oxamido ester-terminated silicone with a polyetheramine and a primary or secondary amine are useful in treating fabrics to obtain a soft hand and also hydrophilicity, and can be prepared without the use of highly toxic reagents.
Amino-organopolysiloxanes and preparation method therefor
Hydrophilic amino-organopolysiloxane softener compositions are prepared by reacting a hydrogen siloxane, a mixture of an allyl epoxy and optionally an allyl polyether in presence of catalyst comprising platinum and then reacting the epoxy functional siloxane product with a polyetheramine to obtain an amino-organopolysiloxane. The hydrophilic amino-organopolysiloxane softener composition is preferably used in the form of an emulsion. Textile fabrics treated by the inventive composition have strong hydrophilic performance and enhanced smoothness and feel.
Compositions comprising beta-ketocarbonyl-functional organosilicon compounds
Compositions containing -ketocarbonyl-functional organopolysiloxanes, aminoalkyl-functional organopolysiloxanes, and optionally an organometallic compound provide textiles with high and lasting water repellency.
Water repellent agent composition and method for producing water repellent fiber product
The first water repellent agent composition contains amino-modified silicone, a silicone resin, and a polyfunctional isocyanate compound. The second water repellent agent composition comprising dimethylpolysiloxane having a hydroxyl group and/or an alkoxy group having 1 to 3 carbon atoms, an amino group-containing silane coupling agent, a silicone resin, and a polyfunctional isocyanate compound.
FIBER-TREATING AGENT
This fiber-treating agent includes a nitrogen-atom-containing polysiloxane synthesizable from an inexpensive raw material and excelling in preservation stability that is represented by formula (1) and/or a reaction product of the nitrogen-atom-containing polysiloxane with an epoxy compound. This fiber-treating agent makes is possible to add good flexibility and highly durable water-absorbing properties to a fiber.

CARBON FIBER PRECURSOR TREATMENT AGENT AND CARBON FIBER PRECURSOR
A carbon fiber precursor treatment agent contains a smoothing agent that includes an amino-modified silicone, at least one onium salt selected from the group consisting of organic sulfuric acid phosphonium salts, organic sulfonic acid phosphonium salts, quaternary ammonium salts of an organic sulfuric acid having an alkyl group with not less than 3 carbon atoms in the molecule, and quaternary ammonium salts of an organic sulfonic acid having an alkyl group with not less than 3 carbon atoms in the molecule, and a nonionic surfactant.
METHOD OF TREATING A FABRIC
A method of treating a fabric, comprising contacting the fabric with an aqueous liquor comprising a fabric care component selected from the group consisting of cationic softening-compounds, silicone softening-compounds, paraffins, dispersible polyolefins, waxes and mixtures thereof; and contacting the fabric with an aqueous liquor comprising a nuclease enzyme, preferably a deoxyribonuclease or ribonuclease enzyme. The aqueous liquor may be provided by adding a cleaning or treatment composition to water. Preferably the composition comprises a surfactant, the wash liquor comprising from 0.05 to 4 g/l of a surfactant.
ELECTROCHEMICAL GRAFTING OF CARBON FIBERS WITH ALIPHATIC AMINES FOR IMPROVED COMPOSITE STRENGTH
The surface of a carbon fiber is electrochemically treated by a method to form nitrogen containing groups on the surface of the carbon fiber. The method comprises contacting a carbon fiber surface with an aqueous solution comprised of a non-cyclic aliphatic amine and water soluble inorganic hydroxide with said aqueous solution having a pH of at least 9. A positive electrical bias is then applied to the carbon fibers in the aqueous solution relative to another electrode in contact with the aqueous solution, wherein the positive electrical bias is at a voltage above the oxidation potential of water. The treated carbon fibers are useful for making epoxy reinforced carbon fiber composites.
