The present invention relates to a coating composition with 10 to 100% by weight of a non-fluorinated compound mixture, which comprises at least one compound b and at least one compound a, c, or d: a) alkali metal salt of poly(meth)acrylic acid, alkali metal salt of poly(meth)acrylic acid copolymer, ammonium compound or amine salt of poly(meth)acrylic acid, ammonium compound or amine salt of poly(meth)acrylic acid copolymer, or mixtures thereof; b) silicone polyether, alkali metal salt of silicone polyether carboxylate, ammonium compound or amine salt of silicone polyether carboxylate, or mixtures thereof; c) salt of hydrolyzed α-olefin/maleic anhydride copolymer, salt of esterified α-olefin/maleic anhydride copolymer, α-olefin/maleic anhydride copolymer amic acid resin or salt thereof, or mixtures thereof; or d) polycarboxylate calcium sequestrants or mixtures thereof. Such coatings exhibit improved soil and stain cleaning performance.
AQUEOUS LIQUID OF TREATMENT AGENT FOR CARBON FIBER PRECURSORS, AND CARBON FIBER PRECURSOR
An aqueous liquid of a carbon fiber precursor treatment agent contains a carbon fiber precursor treatment agent and water, the carbon fiber precursor treatment agent containing an amino-modified silicone and a particular nonionic surfactant having a molecular weight distribution (Mw/Mn) of from 1.05 to 1.50. The amino-modified silicone may have a kinematic viscosity at 25° C. of 50 to 4,000 mm.sup.2/s. The carbon fiber precursor treatment agent is adhered to a carbon fiber precursor.
Composition, fiber treatment agent, fiber treatment method, and treated fiber
Provided is a composition that imparts an excellent flexibility to post-treatment fibers and textiles, provides a water-absorptive fiber surface and provides an excellent durability, and can maintain the water absorbency of the fiber surface even after a laundry treatment. Also provided is a fiber treatment agent that contains said composition as an effective component. The composition contains the following component (A) and component (B) wherein the content ratio on a mass basis represented by component (A)/[component (A)+component (B)] is 0.01-1. Component (A) is an organopolysiloxane represented by general formula (1) or a silane represented by general formula (2), and component (B) is water.
ANTIVIRAL COMPOSITION FOR TEXTILES
The present invention relates to an antiviral composition. The antiviral composition of the invention is applied to textiles to make the textiles virus-resistant before they can be used. The antiviral composition includes an antiviral agent, one or more binding agents and a catalyst or a softener depending upon the utility of the antiviral composition.
SURFACTANT COMPOSITION
The present invention relates to a surfactant composition capable of making a liquid oil highly remain on the solid surface, which is a surfactant composition containing an anionic surfactant (A), a cationic surfactant (B), a liquid oil (C), and water, wherein the water constitutes a continuous phase; the following molar ratio R.sub.A is 0.25 or more and 0.60 or less; and the following molar ratio R.sub.b is 0.6 or more: R.sub.A: a molar ratio {(A)/[(A)+(B)]} of the amount of the anionic surfactant (A) to the total amount of the anionic surfactant (A) and the cationic surfactant (B) R.sub.b: a molar ratio {[(a1)+(b1)]/[(A)+(B)]} of the total amount of a branched-type anionic surfactant (a1) and a branched-type cationic surfactant (b1) to the total amount of the anionic surfactant (A) and the cationic surfactant (B).
Anti-contamination agent composition
[Problem] To provide a contamination preventing agent composition capable of effectively preventing pitch contamination in a dry part. [Solution] The present invention relates to a contamination preventing agent composition for preventing pitch contamination in a dry part D of a papermaking process, the composition containing: a linear polysiloxane compound represented by formula (1); and a cyclic siloxane compound. [In formula (1), a substituent R.sup.1 represents, in the same molecule, a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, a methylphenyl group, a polyether group, a higher fatty acid ester group, an amino-modified group, an epoxy-modified group, a carboxylic group, a phenol group, a mercapto group, a carbinol group, or a methacrylic group, and a repeating number n of a siloxane unit represents an integer of 20-1430.] ##STR00001##
Nonwoven Fabric for Increasing the Availability of Chlorine in Solution
Wipes for preventing chlorine depletion suitable for commercial applications (e.g., industrial and consumer disinfectant wipes) are provided. The wipe includes at least one nonwoven layer, at least one pulp layer, and a nonionic modified siloxane additive. The at least one nonwoven layer and the at least one pulp layer may be hydroentangled to form a hydroentangled nonwoven fabric having a first surface and a second surface. Additionally, the nonionic modified siloxane additive may be disposed on at least one of the first surface or the second surface.

Knit tubular protective sleeve and method of construction thereof
A knit sleeve for providing thermal protection about an elongate member contained therein and method of construction thereof is provided. The sleeve includes a knit inner wall with opposite edges extending lengthwise between opposite ends and a circumferentially continuous tubular outer wall knit integrally with the inner wall. The outer wall bounds a central cavity that extends lengthwise along a central axis between open opposite ends of the outer wall. The opposite edges of the inner wall are substantially parallel to the central axis and are wrappable toward one another to form the inner wall as being tubular. The circumferentially continuous tubular outer wall is configured to be everted about the wrapped inner wall to circumferentially surround and protect the inner wall from abrasion and provide the sleeve with a dual layer wall.
