A pretreatment liquid for water-based pigment textile printing is disclosed, which includes: 1 wt % to 30 wt % of aqueous non-ionic polyurethane; 1 wt % to 20 wt % of a metal salt; 0.1 wt % to 10 wt % of a melamine resin; and the balance being a solvent. A method for forming a pattern on a textile using the aforesaid pretreatment liquid is also disclosed.

Disclosed is a process for printing on polyester fabric comprising (1) contacting polyester fabric with an aqueous solution comprising (A) 5% to 35% by weight of at least one multivalent cationic salt; (B) 0.1% to 5% by weight of a blocked polyisocyanate crosslinking agent, and (C) 3% to 40% by weight of a waterborne resin, all percentages based on the weight of the aqueous solution; (2) drying the polyester fabric to remove the water from the polyester fabric; and (3) digitally printing the pretreated and coated polyester fabric with a water-based textile ink.

An ink jet ink composition for textile printing contains a crosslinking component having a blocked isocyanate group, tertiary amine, at least one carboxylic acid selected from the group consisting of monocarboxylic acid, dicarboxylic acid, and tricarboxylic acid, a pigment, and water.

A treatment solution composition is provided and is a treatment solution applied to fabric and used in textile printing and contains a cationic compound, betaine, and water.

A treatment liquid composition is a treatment liquid composition which is used to be adhered to a cloth and which includes a cationic compound, a water-soluble resin, and water; a molecular weight distribution of a water-soluble component contained in the treatment liquid composition has a maximum peak in a molecular weight range of 28,000 to 2,800,000; and a content of a water-soluble resin having a molecular weight of 28,000 to 2,800,000 is 0.6 to 5.0 percent by mass with respect to a total mass of the treatment liquid composition.
