A MULTI-LAYER FLEXIBLE PACKAGING MATERIAL
The present invention relates generally to the field of multi-layer flexible packaging material. In particularly, the present invention relates to a multi-layer flexible packaging material to package dry food, preferably confectionery. The packaging material of the present invention is marine degradable, recyclable and has acceptable barrier properties.
Header for packaging a roll of paper
There is provided a header for packaging a roll of paper having two opposite roll ends and an outer roll surface extending between the roll ends, the outer roll surface being wrapped with a wrapping paper. The header comprises a cellulosic fiber based substrate having two surfaces and a film coated to at least a portion of one of the substrate surfaces. The film is coated to the substrate surface by extrusion of a coating comprising a mLLDPE resin. The film coated surface is heat sealable to an outside surface of an interior header affixed to one of the roll ends, thereby forming a protective cap at the roll end. The header generates less volatile compounds and/or carbon monoxide compared to a header coated with a standard LDPE, on heat sealing conditions.
BASE PAPER FOR VAPOR DEPOSITION PAPER AND VAPOR DEPOSITION PAPER
An object of the present invention is to provide base paper for vapor deposition paper that can provide vapor deposition paper with excellent barrier properties. The base paper for vapor deposition paper according to the present invention includes: a paper substrate; and a clay coat layer and a resin layer in this order on at least one surface of the paper substrate. A surface of the resin laver has a wetting tension of 50 mN/n or more as measured in conformity with JIS K 6768:1999 and a print-surf surface roughness of 2.5 ?m or less as measured in conformity with JIS P 8151:2004.
SHEET-LIKE PRODUCT AND METHOD FOR ITS MANUFACTURE
The invention relates to a sheet-like product, such as paper. board or the like, which comprises a substrate comprising cellulosic fibres and having a first large surface, wherein at least a first coating layer and a second coating layer are applied on the first large surface of the substrate by curtain coating to form a barrier coating. The second coating layer forms the surface of the sheet-like product. The first coating layer comprises a first polymer having a first crystallization degree and a first melting point, and the second coating layer comprises a second polymer having a second crystallization degree and a second melting point. The second crystallization degree and/or the second melting point is higher than the first crystallization degree and/or the first melting point of the first polymer.

Heat-sealable biodegradable packaging material, a package or a container made thereof, and use of a resin in extrusion coating
The invention concerns a heat-sealable biodegradable packaging material, which comprises a fibrous substrate (1) and one or more polymer coating layers (2) extruded onto said substrate. According to the invention the packaging material includes at least one polymer coating layer (2) containing at least 70 weight-% of polylactide (PLA) and at least 5 weight-% of polybutylene succinate (PBS) or its derivate blended therewith. Optionally an acryl copolymer such as ethylene butyl acrylate glycidyl methacrylate terpolymer (EBAGMA) may be included in the polymer blend. The invention further concerns a heat-sealed container, such as a disposable drinking cup, and a heat-sealed product package made from the packaging material, as well as uses of PBS or its derivates as blends with PLA in extrusion coating, for improving adhesivity of the coating to the fibrous substrate and reduced raw edge penetration to the packaging material, especially penetration of hot coffee held in the drinking cup.
