Fluorescent whitening agents and mixtures thereof
Novel fluorescent whitening agents, compositions or mixtures thereof with known fluorescent whitening agents, their preparation, and their use. The novel fluorescent whitening agents (FWAs) contain three structural subunits derived from 4,4-diamino-2,2-stilbenedisulfonic acid. The novel compounds and their mixtures with known FWAs show very good effectiveness as fluorescent whitening agents for cellulosic materials, in particular for paper.
A YANKEE DRYING CYLINDER AND A TISSUE PAPER MAKING MACHINE
The invention relates to steel Yankee cylinders for tissue-making machines and tissue-making machines using such steel Yankee cylinders wherein the outer surface (9) of the cylindrical shell of the steel Yankee cylinder is formed by a steel of the grade P690 as defined in European Standard EN 10028-6:2017 or a similar steel.

BARRIER LAMINATE WITH EXCELLENT BARRIER PROPERTIES AGAINST MOISTURE AND GAS AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING SAME
The present invention provides a method for manufacturing a barrier laminate in which barrier materials is directly coated on a paper substrate, by suppressing penetration of barrier materials into paper through the paper surface sizing or coating process and increasing density and smoothness of the paper through the calendering process.

Process for producing a flaked thermal-insulating and/or acoustic-insulating material
A process for producing a flaked cellulose-based thermal- and/or acoustic-insulating material includes preparing a cellulose-based pulp and providing a web of paper having a given thickness, starting from the pulp. A coating having a mixture containing a first substance having a flame-retardant function and a second substance having an anti-mould function is applied on the web. The coated web is subjected to a milling operation so as to provide flakes of flaked insulating material.

FIBROUS STRUCTURE PRODUCTS COMPRISING LAYERS EACH HAVING DIFFERENT LEVELS OF CELLULOSE NANOPARTICLES
A fibrous structure having at least two layers is disclosed. Each of the at least two layers has a mixture of structural fibers selected from the group consisting of softwood fibers, non-wood fibers, natural non-cellulosic fibers, man-made cellulosic or non-cellulosic fibers, hardwood fibers, recycled fibers, and mixtures thereof. Each of the at least two layers are disposed in a face-to-face relationship. A second layer of the at least two layers has from about 0.05 percent to about 20 percent by weight of the second layer of cellulose nanoparticles.
Surface treatment composition
The invention relates to a surface treatment composition for paper, board or other fibrous webs. The composition of the invention comprises particles which comprise an active material and a supporting material. The active material comprises a salt or a multivalent metal, such as a divalent or trivalent metal. In accordance with the invention, the supporting material is adapted to release the active material from the particles when subjected to heat and/or pressure and/or a change in pH. Consequently, the active material's adverse effects on the rheology of the composition are avoided while its desired effects on the surface characteristics are retained or enhanced.
OIL AND GREASE RESISTANT PAPERBOARD
A coated paperboard comprising a paperboard substrate having a first side and a second side and a coating in contact with the first side of the paperboard substrate, the coating including binder and pigment, the coating containing substantially no fluorochemical or wax, wherein the coated paperboard has a 3M kit test value of at least 3, and wherein the coated paperboard is repulpable.
