ABSORBENT STRUCTURES WITH HIGH STRENGTH AND LOW MD STRETCH
Absorbent product including a laminate of at least two plies, wherein the absorbent product has a measured Y-Connected Area parameter greater than 20 and a Surface Channel Spacing of less than 2.5 mm. The absorbent product has high strength and low machine direction stretch.
MULTI-PLY FIBROUS STRUCTURE-CONTAINING ARTICLES
Articles, for example multi-ply fibrous structure-containing articles such as multi-ply sanitary tissue products, containing two or more fibrous structure plies, and more particularly to multi-ply articles containing two or more fibrous structure plies having a plurality of fibrous elements wherein the articles exhibit improved bulk and absorbent properties compared to known articles and methods for making same, are provided.
NONWOVEN MATERIAL FOR CLEANING AND SANITIZING SURFACES
Nonwoven materials having at least one layer are provided, as well as their use in cleaning articles. More particularly, the nonwoven materials can include a carrier composition including a binder and a blocking agent. The carrier composition can repel a sanitizing agent, such as a quaternary ammonium compound, from the surface of the nonwoven material in order to facilitate the release of the sanitizing agent from the surface of the nonwoven material.
FIBROUS STRUCTURE CONTAINING ARTICLES
Articles, such as sanitary tissue products, including fibrous structures, and more particularly articles including fibrous structures having a plurality of fibrous elements wherein the article exhibits differential cellulose content throughout the thickness of the article and methods for making same are provided.
Process for making tissue or towel products comprising nanofilaments
A process for making absorbent towel paper webs is provided. The process has the steps of (a) providing a papermaking furnish having from about 45% to about 90% by weight of the dry fiber basis of the absorbent towel paper web of a refined softwood pulp fiber mixture having from about 20% to about 89.9% by weight of softwood pulp fiber, from about 0.05% to about 20% by weight of cellulose nanofilaments, and from about 0.05% to about 5.0% by weight of strengthening additive, and from about 10% to about 55% by weight of the dry fiber basis of the absorbent towel paper web of a hardwood pulp fiber mixture; (b) forming a wet fibrous web from the paper making furnish; and, (c) drying the web until the web contains not more than about 10% by weight moisture.
METHOD OF MAKING A STRUCTURED FIBROUS WEB AND A CREPED FIBROUS WEB
Described is a creped fibrous web (W) having a basis weight in the range of 14 g/m.sup.2-40 g/m.sup.2, and having a three-dimensional structure formed by depressed regions (45) and elevated regions (46). The fibers of the fibrous web (W) are 20 evenly distributed over the surface of the creped fibrous web (W). Also described is a method of making the fibrous web (W), including conveying the formed fibrous web on a water receiving felt (5) to a dewatering nip (PN) formed by a first press unit (8) and a second press unit (9) and where an endless belt (11) is passed through the nip together with the fibrous web 5 (W) and the water receiving felt (5). The fibers of the fibrous web (W) will be evenly distributed on a structured clothing (12).
Fibrous structure-containing articles
Articles, such as sanitary tissue products, including fibrous structures, and more particularly articles including fibrous structures having a plurality of fibrous elements wherein the article exhibits differential cellulose content throughout the thickness of the article and methods for making same are provided.
Wet laid disposable absorbent structures with high wet strength and method of making the same
A method of making an absorbent structure including mixing ultra-high molecular weight (UHMW) glyoxalated polyvinylamide adducts (GPVM) and/or high molecular weight (HMW), glyoxalated polyacrylamide and/or high cationic charge glyoxalated polyacrylamide (GPAM) copolymers and high molecular weight (HMW) anionic polyacrylamide (APAM) with the furnish during stock preparation of a wet laid papermaking process.
PAPER PRODUCTS AND PULPS WITH SURFACE ENHANCED PULP FIBERS AND INCREASED ABSORBENCY, AND METHODS OF MAKING SAME
This disclosure includes furnishes and paper products such as tissues comprising surface enhanced pulp fibers (SEPF) and related methods. In some embodiments, SEPF have a weighted average fiber length of at least 0.3 millimeters (mm) and an average hydrodynamic specific surface area of at least 10 square meters per gram (m.sup.2/g). In some embodiments, a furnish or a paper product can comprise at least 2% SEPF by dry weight. In some embodiments, a paper product comprising SEPF can be formed from a furnish having a freeness of 650 ml Canadian Standard Freeness (CSF) or less, optionally 600 ml CSF or less.
