Process for production of film comprising microfibrillated cellulose
The present invention relates to a process for manufacturing a film comprising high amounts of microfibrillated cellulose (MFC), having haptic properties. According to the present invention, a wet web comprising MFC is formed, followed by addition of particles having an average diameter of at least 1 μm to the wet web, followed by dewatering and/or drying. The wet web may be formed for example by wet laid or cast forming methods. The particles may be added to the wet web for example by cast coating or spraying.

A PAPERBOARD AND A METHOD OF PRODUCING A PAPERBOARD
The invention discloses a paperboard comprising a base ply, a top ply, and an intermediate layer disposed in-between the at least one base ply and the top ply. The intermediate layer comprises pigment and microfibrillated cellulose (MFC). The application of an intermediate layer comprising pigment and MFC in-between the base ply and the top ply gives rise to improved optical properties of the paperboard, even when using an uncoated top ply having a low grammage. This makes it possible to reduce the grammage of top ply and still obtain good optical properties.
A PAPERBOARD AND A METHOD OF PRODUCING A PAPERBOARD
The invention discloses a paperboard comprising a base ply, a top ply, and an intermediate layer disposed in-between the at least one base ply and the top ply. Method for the production of a film comprising microfibrillated cellulose and a film comprising microfibrillated cellulose
The present invention relates to a method for the production of a film comprising microfibrillated cellulose, wherein the method comprises the steps of; providing a suspension comprising microfibrillated cellulose, applying the suspension on a substrate to form a fibrous web, wherein the web has a first and a second side, conducting the web to a contact drying equipment wherein the first side of said web is in direct contact with of the contact drying equipment at a temperature above 100° C. whereby the web is at least partly dried forming a film. The invention also relates to a film produced according to the method.
Water-dispersible composite structure and method of producing the same
A water-dispersible composite structure, which comprises one or more layers, and a method of producing the same. At least a part of the layers is formed by a fibrous web or sheet containing 50-90 parts by weight of wood fibers and 10-90 parts by weight of annual or perennial plant fibers and/or 10-50 parts by weight of synthetic short-cut fibers, and 0.1-20% by weight of a binder, calculated from the weight of the fibers, and at least a part of the binder being a water-soluble polymer and another part a water dispersible binder, and the fibrous sheet or web being produced by wet forming. By means of the invention, the fibers of the composite structure can be recovered and recycled by equipment conventionally used in the paper and paperboard industry.
Water-dispersible composite structure and method of producing the same
A water-dispersible composite structure, which comprises one or more layers, and a method of producing the same. At least a part of the layers is formed by a fibrous web or sheet containing 50-90 parts by weight of wood fibers and 10-90 parts by weight of annual or perennial plant fibers and/or 10-50 parts by weight of synthetic short-cut fibers, and 0.1-20% by weight of a binder, calculated from the weight of the fibers, and at least a part of the binder being a water-soluble polymer and another part a water dispersible binder, and the fibrous sheet or web being produced by wet forming. By means of the invention, the fibers of the composite structure can be recovered and recycled by equipment conventionally used in the paper and paperboard industry.
METHOD FOR PRODUCING MULTI-LAYER PAPER
A method for producing dried multilayer paper is provided comprising (A) Dewatering a first aqueous fibrous suspension, thereby creating a first fibrous web, (B) Dewatering a second aqueous fibrous suspension, thereby creating a second fibrous web, (C) Spraying one or more of a first fibrous web and a second fibrous web with a spray solution or spray suspension, thereby producing at least one sprayed fibrous web, (D) Assembling the first fibrous web with the second fibrous web, (E) Dehydrating the resulting layer compound by pressing, then (F) Dehydrating by supplying heat, which creates the dried multilayer paper, wherein the spray solution or spray suspension contains (c-a) Water (c-b) at least one water-soluble polymer P obtained by polymerizing 40 to 85 mol % of a monomer of Formula I
##STR00001## in which R.sup.1=H or C.sub.1-C.sub.6-Alkyl, 15 to 60 mol % of one or more ethylenically unsaturated monomers.
FIBROUS PRODUCT
Fibrous products having an improved softness are provided, which have beneficial effects on the skin upon use. The fibrous product includes a fibrous material in which this material has at least one of lactic acid or a salt thereof in an amount of, per ply provided, in the range of from about 0.1 to about 15 g/m.sup.2, and in some embodiments, in the range of from about 1.0 to about 1.5 g/m.sup.2. A water activity of the fibrous product is from about 0.03 to 0.85. The salt of lactic acid may, for example, be sodium lactate, potassium lactate, and/or calcium lactate.
FIBROUS PRODUCT
Fibrous products having an improved softness are provided, which have beneficial effects on the skin upon use. The fibrous product includes a fibrous material in which this material has at least one of lactic acid or a salt thereof in an amount of, per ply provided, in the range of from about 0.1 to about 15 g/m.sup.2, and in some embodiments, in the range of from about 1.0 to about 1.5 g/m.sup.2. A water activity of the fibrous product is from about 0.03 to 0.85. The salt of lactic acid may, for example, be sodium lactate, potassium lactate, and/or calcium lactate.
