Method for producing ballast bodies

The invention relates to a method for producing load transferring regions in a ballast body of a track superstructure by introducing curable liquid plastics or reactive plastic mixtures from a mixing unit by means of at least two distributor pipes with outlets into the load transferring regions and allowing the plastic or the reactive plastic mixture to cure in said load transferring regions. The two distributor pipes with outlets are positioned on the left or on the right from the outside of the rails into the region between the two rails such that the outlets are located adjacent to each other and are laterally spaced from the front face (3) of the tie (2) that has the load transferring region to be reinforced. The two outlets are opened in order to allow the plastic or the reactive plastic mixture to exit at a controlled rate. Each distributor pipe outlet is guided to the respective end face (4, 4) of the tie (2) from the inside to the outside in a lateral manner with respect to the front face (3) of the tie (2) and around the respective end face (4, 4) of the tie (2) to the rear face (5) of the tie (2). The distributor pipe outlets are guided in a lateral manner along the rear face (5) of the tie (2) into the region between the two rails (9, 9) such that the outlets are located adjacent to each other and are laterally spaced from the rear face (5) of the tie (2).

RAIL TIE HAVING EMBEDDED AUTOMATIC DIFFERENTIAL SETTLEMENT COMPENSATION APPARATUS USING OIL PRESSURE FOR RAILROAD TRACKS

By supporting a space generated by a settlement of the track bed gravel or asphalt roadbed underneath a concrete rail tie with cylindrical rods, and installing the present invention, one each separately, on the left and right sides of the concrete rail tie, recovery from settlements is automatic, and the response to differential settlements of the left and right rails of the track due to the train load can be easily facilitated, and by installing pressure reducing valves on the upper part of the concrete rail ties, pressure can be reduced while maintaining the track system as is without having to dismantle the concrete rail ties, and accordingly the usability of the concrete rail ties can be improved.

TURNOUT FOR A TRACK SYSTEM

A turnout for a rail vehicle track system, having a main track and branch track(s) that joins the main track. The main and branch tracks at least in regions have in each case at least two rails, wherein disposed between the sleepers and the ballast bed, on lower sides of sleepers that face the ballast bed, are in each case sleeper pads which each have at least one elastomer layer. The turnout has a turnout frog tip in which the rails of the main track pointing towards the branch track and of the branch track pointing towards the main track converge. A turnout frog region extends from the turnout frog tip in mutually opposite directions and the respective elastomer layers of the respective sleeper pads of the sleepers in the turnout frog region are softer than in regions of the turnout in front of and behind the turnout frog region.

System and method for subgrade stabilization of railroad bed

The invention is a system and method for repairing, improving, and stabilizing subgrade and subsoil/natural ground layers of a rail bed generally consisting of softer soils. One embodiment includes a method of installing subsurface inclusions and ballast fills comprising injected slurry mixtures of stabilizing material such as cement grout mixed with in situ soil. Another embodiment includes a system of installed ground inclusions and ballast fills. Another embodiment includes an integrated system of equipment for emplacing the system of inclusions and ballast fills.

An apparatus for applying a single-component or multi-component adhesive to a ballast bed of a stretch of rails in a rail path, includes a container for the adhesive and elements for conveying the adhesive for application are mounted on a supply vehicle which can be driven on, or adjacent to, the rail path. The adhesive is guided from the supply vehicle with a hose having a one nozzle. The apparatus further includes a trolley that can be temporarily coupled and secured to a rail, and can be moved in a rail-bound manner at a desired and uniform speed independently of the supply vehicle. The trolley supports a boom on which the nozzle is mounted, so that a defined depth of penetration of the adhesive can be maintained by the apparatus at a uniform running speed of the trolley and defined flow rates of the adhesive depending upon the characteristics of the ballast bed and spray pattern.
