Vehicle rail mounting device

A vehicle rail mounting device (10) Is provided for mounting a vehicle rail (12) on a support structure (14). The device Includes a bottom piece (16), an elastomeric bearing element (18) to be supported on the bottom piece, top cover elements (22) having elastomeric element retainers (54), a top piece (20), and rail connectors (82). The elastomeric element retainers are provided to retain the elastomeric element in place while the elastomeric element is adapted to retain the top piece, and hence the rail connectors, and therefore also the rail, in place. The top cover elements can be connected to the to the bottom and to the support structure to keep the whole device in place.

RAIL FASTENER SEALING SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR SEALING A RAIL FASTENING ASSEMBLY

A rail fastener sealing system comprises a dowel having a substantially cylindrical elongated body and a dowel passage configured to receive a fastener that secures a rail to a rail tie. The sealing system further includes a seal positioned on an end of the dowel. The seal includes a flexible body having a central passage extending through the flexible body and a lip extending circumferentially around an opening of the central passage. The lip of the seal is disposed adjacent the end of the dowel and at least a portion of the flexible body of the seal is positioned within the dowel passage.

Hollow Switch Tie Assembly for Railway

The disclosed solution generally relates to a hollow steel tie assembly for railway. The hollow steel tie assembly is generally configured to house switch machine components (e.g., switch rods). Further, the hollow steel tie assembly is configured with interface plates that enable the installation of varying configurations of rail fasteners. As such, the hollow steel tie assembly may be used for many types of rail, geometries, gauges, handedness, etc. Additionally, the hollow steel tie assembly is configured for use with existing as well as new switch machines. The hollow steel tie assembly comprises a shell configuration that provides ready access to internal components while maintaining support for top plates, rail fasteners, and attached rail. Further, the hollow steel tie assembly comprises electrically insulating layers in order to maintain electrical isolation between reciprocal rails.

Rail anchoring spike

An improved rail anchoring spike that includes a conical swell adapted to engage with a hole in a metal tie plate during fastening of the metal tie plate to a tie. The conical swell has a smaller diameter toward a pointed end of the spike and a larger diameter toward a head of the spike. The smaller diameter is slightly larger than a diameter of a body of the spike. An angle formed by the conical swell relative to a center line passing through a center of the body of the spike matches an angle of the hole in the metal tie plate relative to a center of the hole.
