NOVEL IRON COMPOSITIONS AND METHODS OF MAKING AND USING THE SAME
The present invention involves a novel aqueous iron composition. The aqueous iron composition includes iron sucrose and bicarbonate. The aqueous iron composition of the invention exhibits enhanced renal protective effects relative to conventional iron sucrose compositions.
STABLE PHARMACEUTICAL COMPOSITIONS OF ROPINIROLE
The invention relates to pharmaceutical aqueous compositions, for example solutions, comprising ropinirole or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof as an active ingredient the composition having reduced iron content. The compositions exhibit improved chemical stability of the active ingredient. The compositions can be used, for example, in the preparation of eye drop compositions for inducing emesis in animals, particularly companion animals such as dogs and cats, in situations where vomiting is desired.

FERRATE COMPOSITIONS FOR SURFACE DISINFECTION
Methods for disinfecting a surface are provided which include contacting a surface with a solution comprising Fe(VI)O.sub.4.sup.2−, thereby disinfecting the surfaces. In some cases, the surface to be contacted with the solution is in a space suitable for human occupancy and the surface is arranged in the ambient of the space. In addition, solutions comprising Fe(VI)O.sub.4.sup.2− are provided. The solutions may additionally include a hypohalite salt and a surfactant.

MICROBIOTA-DIRECTED FOODS TO REPAIR A SUBJECT'S GUT MICROBIOTA
The present disclosure provides composition and methods to improve the nutritional status of a subject, as well as aid in the maturation of the gut microbiota of a subject. The disclosure encompasses edible compositions that, when eaten in a manner described herein, impacts the subject's gut microbiota by changing the relative abundances of a plurality of health-discriminatory gut taxa in a statistically significant manner towards chronologically age-matched healthy subjects.

OXIDATIVE STRESS INHIBITOR AND ANTIOXIDANT AGENT
An oxidative stress inhibitor 100 of the present invention contains silicon particles capable of generating hydrogen. In a preferred aspect of the oxidative stress inhibitor 100, the following effects (a) and/or (b) can be exhibited. (a) The total amount of generation (total amount of production) is increased. (b) The amount of generation of hydrogen per unit time (i.e. rate of generation of hydrogen), particularly the rate of generation of hydrogen in the initial stage is increased.
