Ballast mats and methods of forming the same
A method and apparatus for coating transportation components such as a bridge deck with a coating. The coating includes a sealant and rubber mixed with a resin and a foaming agent. The apparatus includes a hopper for the rubber, a impingement gun for the resin and a gun assembly that combines the rubber and resin together at a combined nozzle for spraying.
INTEGRATED BALLAST MAT
A protective coating system for a railway structure having a waterproof membrane and a ballast mat. The waterproof membrane is disposed on the railway structure. The ballast mat further has a ballast protection coating and a sealing layer. The ballast protection coating is a rubber compound and is disposed on the waterproof membrane. The sealing layer is disposed on the ballast protection layer.
Band for railway track block and boot combination
A band adapted for use as a seal around an upper edge of a boot adapted for holding a block to which a rail is fastened, includes an elongated body having an outer face, an inner face, a first end and a second end. The first and second ends of the elongated body are secured to each other to form the band. An inner face of the elongated body is smooth and an outer face thereof includes a plurality of laterally spaced ribs. The ribs extend from the first end of the band to the second end thereof. The elongated body is made from an electrically insulating elastomeric material.
UNDER SLEEPER PAD
An under sleeper pad (1) for fastening to an underside, situated opposite rails (2), of a sleeper (3), with the under sleeper pad (1) having at least one first, preferably porous material component (4) and at least one second porous material component (5) different than the first material component (4), the first material component (4) being more elastic than the second material component (5) and the second material component (5) being more plastic than the first material component (4), the first material component (4) being arranged exclusively in a first layer (6) of the under sleeper pad (1) and the second material component (5) being arranged exclusively in a second layer (7) of the under sleeper pad (1).
Under sleeper pad
An under sleeper pad (1) to be fastened to an underside (3) of a sleeper (4), on the opposite side from the tracks (2). The under sleeper pad (1) has at least one elastic layer (5) having cork grains (6) of a cork granulate distributed throughout. In addition, the elastic layer (5) has at least one cellular synthetic elastomer (7).
BALLAST MATS AND METHODS OF FORMING THE SAME
An method and apparatus for coating transportation components such as a bridge deck with a coating. The coating includes a sealant and rubber mixed with a resin and a foaming agent. The apparatus includes a hopper for the rubber, a impingement gun for the resin and a gun assembly that combined the rubber and resin together at a combined nozzle for spraying.
SLEEPER PAD
The invention relates to a sleeper pad (1) for fastening to at least one outer surface (3) of a railway sleeper (4) facing a ballast bed (2), the sleeper pad (1) including or consisting of at least one damping layer (5), wherein the damping layer (5) has an EPM index in the range from 10 to 25%, preferably in the range from 10 to 20% when carrying out a load test.
