Underpayment panel having drainage channels
11761154 · 2023-09-19 · ·

An impact-absorbing assembly includes a covering layer being one or more of artificial turf, rubber mats, polymer mats, short pile carpeting, particulate infill, wood chips, and ground rubber chips. Also included is a layer of underlayment panels positioned beneath the covering layer. The panels have a panel section with a plurality of drain holes formed therethrough. A top surface of the panels is configured to support the covering layer. A bottom surface of the panels has a plurality of bottom projections that cooperate to define bottom channels suitable to permit water flow across the bottom surface, the bottom channels being in fluid communication with the panel drain holes. The bottom projections define a first spring rate characteristic that is part of a first stage and a second spring rate characteristic is part of a second stage, the first stage having a smaller volume of material than the second stage.

Soil form system supporting hardscape thereover

Soil form structure for supporting hardscape and corresponding vehicle, pedestrian traffic, and other loads while maintaining uncompacted or loosely compacted soil underneath. A number of cell structures may be coupled to each other, where each cell has a strong yet lightweight and open structure that can accept uncompacted soil, vegetation roots, utilities, and the like within at least approximately 85-90% of its volume, while also allowing hardscape to be poured or formed thereon. Thus, cell structures allow for hardscape to be integrally formed with the cell structures, without need for an underlying layer of highly compacted soil or other hardscape support.

Flooring element
11761214 · 2023-09-19 · ·

A flooring element suitable for connection to other elements in a flooring system. The flooring element comprises a body, a female connector and a retainer. The body defines a connector surface that is horizontal when in use. The female connector comprises a connector recess which is suitable for receiving a male connector and also which defines a connector opening in the connector surface. The retainer is connectable to the body such that, while it is connected to the body, the retainer is movable between and open position and a closed position. When in the closed position, the retainer is arranged to restrict movement of the male connector to guard against the male connector exiting the connector recess through the connector opening. When in the open position, the retainer does not restrict movement of the male connector thereby permitting the male connector to exit the connector recess through the connector opening.

Paver Supporting Apparatus

The invention relates to a paver supporting apparatus and generally includes a modular grid having a body and a plurality of planar adhesive receiving sections extending across a width thereof. The body includes a top surface, a bottom surface positioned opposite the top surface, a plurality of geometric lattices provided from a plurality of walls. The plurality of planar adhesive receiving sections are positioned between the geometric lattices and have a width greater than each of the plurality of walls.

Paver supporting apparatus

The invention relates to a paver supporting apparatus and generally includes a support structure having support surface, a modular grid, and a plurality of pavers positioned on the modular grid. The modular grid is positioned on and secured to the support surface and includes a body, an extension extending from one side of the body, and a plurality of fastener receiving passageways positioned through the body and the extension.

Paver system
11162229 · 2021-11-02 · ·

A paver system configured for installation on an existing hardscape. The paver system includes paving stones having a concave bottom surface. The concavity intersects edges of the paver to enable runoff to flow beneath and between the pavers. The concavity may also reduce the weight and material requirements of the paver while also increasing the strength of the paver. An underlayment is provided that includes a bottom surface with a plurality of intersecting channels. The underlayment is bonded to an existing hardscape, such as a concrete pad, and the pavers are arranged and bonded to the top surface of the underlayment. Rainwater and other runoff are allowed to flow between and under the pavers through the concave bottom portions thereof and through the channels in the underlayment. The paver system provides a strong, stable installation with sufficient drainage to resist damage caused by retained water.

TACTILE WARNING PANEL APPARATUS WITH SMART TECHNOLOGY

Multipurpose tactile warning panels for use in pedestrian walkways, and in particular tactile warning panels that are designed and built with multifunction/multipurpose capabilities that serve the visually impaired and enable the deployment of smart city technology by integrating tactile warning systems and subsurface enclosures that can withstand pressures of five (5) tons up to and exceeding sixty (60) tons and incorporate small cells, beacons, sensors, Fog Computing, electric energy generation, rechargeable power supplies, wireless M2M communication and a plethora of other smart city technologies.

Apparatus for laying a paver

An apparatus for laying a paver has a body portion having a top side and an underside. A raised paver guide is located on the top side and is positioned to receive the paver when the paver is against the top side. The underside is at least partially hollow.

Pedestal mounted paver heating system

Some deck or patio areas constructed of pavers mounted on adjustable pedestal supports must remain snow and ice free on their top surfaces. The pedestal-mounted paver heating system is designed to allow easy installation of electric heating cable that is positioned against the bottom surface of pavers so that heat generated by the cable is efficiently transferred up into the pavers to raise their temperature enough to prevent the accumulation of snow and ice on their top surfaces.
