Modular pavement system
A prefabricated paving slab includes specialized combinations of substantially vertical passages and cavities to enable drop in installation. The paving slab may include retractable coupling rods aligned using spacers having seating surfaces and alignment surfaces. Cavities of the paving slab, each configured for receiving a coupling rod, preferably are arranged in orientation(s) and pattern(s) selected for receiving and transferring the stresses of loads travelling in a pre-determined direction.
PAVEMENT SLAB
A pavement slab includes a top surface, a bottom surface opposite the top surface, first and second longitudinal side surfaces, each of which extends from the top surface to the bottom surface, and first and second transverse side surfaces, each of which extends from the top surface to the bottom surface. At least one transverse tube is positioned intermediate the top surface and the bottom surface and extends from an inlet at the first longitudinal side surface to a second end intermediate the first and second longitudinal side surfaces. The at least one transverse tube is sized and shaped to convey a binder material. At least one vertical tube extends from each of the at least one transverse tube to the bottom surface. The at least one vertical tube is sized and shaped to convey the binder material.
Expansion Joint Seal with surface load transfer and intumescent
An expansion joint design for supporting transfer loads. The system includes an elongated core and at least one longitudinal load-transfer member which are bonded together.
STRUCTURAL UNDERLAYMENT SUPPORT SYSTEM AND PANEL FOR USE WITH PAVING AND FLOORING ELEMENTS
A paving system for paving or flooring includes a top layer of a plurality of paving elements, and an underlayment support layer of a polymeric material configured into panels. The panels are suitable to support the paving elements, the panels having a generally planar support surface.
Pick mat locking system
A pick mat connection system (10, 40) that enables components to be connectable horizontally, to adapt to varied work site sizes, or vertically, to adapt to varied weight demands. Employing anchor assemblies (10), comprising an anchor (12) and lock (14) structure, to permit multiple standardized mats (1) to be connected horizontally, both end to end, and side to side. Additionally, employing stack anchor assemblies (40), selectively vertically connectable by a lock or bolt assembly (50), which enables the layering of multiple mats (7), thereby increasing the effective mat thickness.
Paver adhesive and method of laying pavers
One inch paver tiles may now be set over a concrete pad for use by vehicular traffic. The method and dry concrete mix may be used to overlay concrete driveways. The paver tiles may be laid over a dry concrete mix comprising a latex polymer, Portland cement, sand and a hydration control agent. After laying the paver tiles in a field over the concrete mix in the dry state, a border of paver tiles or other material may be laid in a wet concrete mix prior to hydrating the field paver tiles. The dry concrete mix cures after hydration to form a strong layer adhering the paver tiles to the concrete pad for use by vehicular traffic.
Base For Turf System
An underlayment layer is configured to support an artificial turf assembly. The underlayment layer comprises a core with a top side and a bottom side. The top side has a plurality of spaced apart, upwardly oriented projections that define channels suitable for fluid flow along the top side of the core when the underlayment layer is positioned beneath an overlying artificial turf assembly.
Methods of forming an adhesive composition from asphalt shingle waste powder
Non-limiting embodiments of the present disclosure relate to a method comprising: obtaining asphalt shingle waste (ASW) and performing grinding, screening, and separating steps on the ASW. In some embodiments, granules are removed from the ASW. In some embodiments, the method transforms ASW into ASW powder. In some embodiments, the ASW powder is formed into a plurality of briquettes. In some embodiments, at least one of: the ASW powder, the plurality of briquettes, or any combination thereof is fed into a mixing process that results in an ASW powder filled coating. In some embodiments, the ASW powder is formed into an adhesive composition.
Expansion joint for longitudinal load transfer
An expansion joint design for supporting transfer loads. The system includes an elongated core and at least one longitudinal load-transfer member which are bonded together.
Expansion Joint for Longitudinal Load Transfer
An expansion joint design for supporting transfer loads. The system includes an elongated core and at least one longitudinal load-transfer member which are bonded together.
