Equipotential grounding grate
10181681 · 2019-01-15 · ·

Self-supporting equipotential grounding grates are used to create an equipotential zone for workers and equipment. The grates have a plurality of supports that cooperate to position the upper surface of a conductive grid above the surface on which the grates are used. The inner supports include upper and lower structural grids that allow debris to be readily removed from the grate after use. The grate supports workers and equipment. A plurality of the grates are electrically connected with cables to define a platform with the entire structure grounded with one or more grounding pins.

PHOTOELECTRIC WATER-PERMEABLE PAVEMENT UNDERGROUND WATER STORAGE AUTOMATION SYSTEM
20240279882 · 2024-08-22 ·

A photoelectric water-permeable pavement underground water storage automation system includes a photoelectric module, a water-permeable unit, and a water-filled structure. The photoelectric module is arranged on a ground surface and includes a base. A solar panel is mounted on a top of the base. Fixing members are provided on a bottom of the base and positioned on the water-permeable unit. A bare empty area is provided inside the base. Communication pipes are connected to and extended outward from the bare empty area to communicate with adjacent bases. The water-permeable unit is a water-permeable pavement including a frame structure formed of multiple vertical water-permeable pipes and poured with concrete slurry. The water-filled structure is an underground water storage space formed of multiple-hole hollow unit cells. A water guide layer is provided at the top of the water-filled structure buried in an underground layer below the water-permeable unit.

INDUSTRIAL MATS HAVING COST EFFECTIVE CORE STRUCTURES
20180327980 · 2018-11-15 ·

An inventory of industrial mats having different core or internal constructions that are not visible because of the inclusion of side, end, upper and lower components which hide the core or internal construction from view, wherein each mat has an electronic device that indicates what is present in the hidden core or internal construction of the mat, with the electronic device including a processor, storage, and wireless communications circuitry that is configured to transmit identification, location, usage or physical property information of the mats over a wireless telecommunications network. Also, a method for providing an identification of mat properties or usage for an inventory of mats by viewing the information stored on the electronic device or by retrieving over a wireless telecommunications network identification, location, usage or physical property information of the mats from the storage of the electronic device.

Pedestrian tile, replaceable tile section and/or resilient dome structure
10125460 · 2018-11-13 · ·

A detectable warning tile system has a tile base with an upper surface and a lower surface. The upper surface has a plurality of upward projections therefrom. The tile base has two side edges for alignment with corresponding side edges of other tiles, and front and rear edges. An area of the upper surface of the tile base is formed free of the detectable warnings and may include a trough into or over which a replaceable tile section may be placed. The tile base and/or replaceable tile section may be configured to receive one or more individually-installable detectable warnings.

Polystyrene-Based Structural Materials
20180313041 · 2018-11-01 ·

The disclosure features structural tiles and methods for forming such tiles, the tiles including a tile body featuring one or more polystyrene materials, and a coating featuring an epoxy resin and an aggregate material, disposed on at least one surface of the tile body, where the structural tile has a dry coefficient of kinetic friction of at least 0.75 and a wet coefficient of kinetic friction of at least 0.70, and where the dry coefficient of kinetic friction is larger than the wet coefficient of kinetic friction by 0.05 or less.

METHODS OF SUPPORTING UPRIGHT ITEMS FROM A SUPPORT SURFACE

A method of supporting an upright member from a support surface includes inserting an elongated carrier of an upright member support system into a hole in the support surface. A base of the support system is positioned at least partially around the carrier so the base contacts at least one upper surface of the support surface. A lock of the support system is releasably engaged with the carrier above the base and tightened down sufficient to maintain the base in contact with the support surface. The upright member is inserted into a bore of the carrier.

Electrically-grounded work platform
10106935 · 2018-10-23 · ·

A timber access mat having an electrical grounding feature includes an electrically conductive cover layer that is removably carried over the top of the body of the timber access mat. The electrically conductive cover layer can be formed from one or more sheets of expanded metal such as expanded steel. The layer is joined to a perimeter frame that includes offset connector tabs that allow mats to be positioned side-by-side. The connector tabs are paired with cable guides to protect the cable leads that connect the mats. The perimeter frame and conductive cover layer can be added to traditional timber access mats when electrical grounding is required and then removed and stored when not required.
