Overflow spout for tank
A modular overflow spout that covers a tank outlet comprising an overflow cover removably attached to a curb assembly. The overflow cover includes a canopy and a cover plate. The curb assembly comprises an outer curb having a lower curb flange that can be incorporated into the tank outlet and an upper curb flange that is positioned above the tank outlet. An inner curb is attached to the outer curb and can be incorporated into the tank outlet with the inner curb. The modularity allows the outer curb to be adjustable within the outlet so that the angle of the upper curb flange is conducive for attachment of the cover plate on the overflow cover after the curb assembly is incorporated into the tank roof.
Edge restraint with mechanism for restricted horizontal movement
An edge restraint and method of use where the edge restraint has a vertical wall for retaining segmental pavement in an installation placement and a horizontal base having a plurality of teeth extending therefrom and providing discrete focused points for providing friction between the edge restraint and an installation surface to prevent horizontal movement of the edging in at least one direction with respect to the installation surface. A leading edge of the base is installed under a first surface with the wall providing a barrier between the first surface and a second surface for engaging the teeth with a third surface to prevent movement of edging in a horizontal direction away from the first surface.
Underlayment panel having drainage channels
An impact-absorbing assembly includes a covering layer being one or more of artificial turf, rubber mats, polymer mats, short pile carpeting, particulate infill, wood chips, and ground rubber chips. Also included is a layer of underlayment panels positioned beneath the covering layer. The panels have a panel section with a plurality of drain holes formed therethrough. A top surface of the panels is configured to support the covering layer. A bottom surface of the panels has a plurality of bottom projections that cooperate to define bottom channels suitable to permit water flow across the bottom surface, the bottom channels being in fluid communication with the panel drain holes. The bottom projections define a first spring rate characteristic that is part of a first stage and a second spring rate characteristic is part of a second stage, the first stage having a smaller volume of material than the second stage.
LIGHTWEIGHT UNIVERSAL PANEL MAT
A lightweight universal panel mat made of plastic or elastomeric material and having a first section that provides a relatively flat, textured or structured top surface to facilitate movement over the mat and a second section having geometry that includes a plurality of cells having top surfaces that support the first section. The panel mats have first, second, third and fourth sides that are configured to matingly engage or connect to the second, third, fourth and first sides, respectively. The connection can be by insertion or snap-locking of one side to another, or by the use of fastening elements that more securely holds the sides together. Thus, similarly configured panel mats can be connected by interlocking to form a temporary support surface, deck, walkway or roadway. Additional side ramps and adapters can be used to facilitate installation of the mats and access to the upper surfaces of the joined mats.
Modular block system for roundabouts
A roundabout for vehicular traffic is provided from a plurality of modular blocks arranged in a generally circular roundabout pattern and affixed to a roadway or ground surface at an intersection of vehicle roadways. Roundabouts can be formed in any desired diameter. In some embodiments, the modular blocks can have a trapezoidal plan shape laid out in concentric rings. The trapezoidal shaped blocks can be cut from a length of board having a constant width and thickness. The modular blocks can be provided as a kit of parts delivered to worksite at an intersection of vehicle roadways where a roundabout is desired. Splitter islands, sidewalks, and curbing of blocks having appropriate shapes can also be provided.
Padding layer for athletic field
Various embodiments for a panel that may be combined with other similar panels to form a padding layer of an athletic field, or other surface, are disclosed. The panel for use in a padding layer of a panel system includes a male locking element configured to form a dove-tail connection with at least one adjacent panel. The dove-tail connection includes a male locking element of the panel coupling with a female locking element of the at least one adjacent panel and forming an interference fit between the male locking element and the female locking element. A space is proved between the male locking element and the female element when coupled that permits thermal expansion of the panel.
Structural cells, matrices and methods of assembly
Structural cells and matrices using the structural cells for positioning below a hardscape that define a void space therein, the structural cells, matrices using the cells and methods of assembly allowing in one embodiment the introduction of a structural fluid such as concrete to provide an alternative structural cell and matrix product. In one embodiment a structural cell assembly is described comprising a structural cell with a plurality of legs integrally linked to a frame at a first frame end, the frame linking the legs together and the frame defining a generally flat plane with the legs extending substantially orthogonally away from the first frame end about the frame flat plane to a leg terminal end; and a separate plate engaging the legs, the separate plate comprising linked sockets, each socket engaging the leg terminal end; and/or linked sockets, each socket engaging the leg frame ends or a part thereof.
BLACK LOCUST SOLAR PERMEABLE PAVERS WITH SAFETY EDGE PROTECTION
The subject matter described herein includes a paving system having a backing matrix, a plurality of untreated black locust wood pavers arranged in a defined pattern relative to one another on the backing matrix, the defined pattern creating regular void spaces therebetween, a permeable medium disposed between the wood pavers and filling the void spaces, at least one solar cell embedded within at least one wood paver, one or more layers of underlayment beneath the matrix, the one or more layers of underlayment having graduated sizes or porosities, and a flexible coating displaced around the perimeter of the backing matrix.
PADDING LAYER FOR ATHLETIC FIELD
Various embodiments for a pad that may be combined with other similar pads to form a padding layer of an athletic field, or other surface, are disclosed. The pad includes a top surface and a bottom surface. Bottom-side projections are positioned on the bottom surface of the pad. Water channels are positioned on the bottom surface of the pad defined as a recessed area between individual ones of the bottom-side projections. A drainage hole is positioned in at least one of the bottom-side projections such that the drainage hole does not connect with any of the water channels on the bottom surface. The drainage hole may be at least partially coupled to projection channels on the bottom-side projections, where the projection channels act as a water vacuum to facilitate air circulation and vertical water evacuation relative to the drainage hole.
PATIO BLOCKS WITH INTERIOR DRAINAGE
A paving block having interior drainage.
