Rotary mixing system
A rotary mixing system includes a construction machine. The construction machine includes a frame and a plurality of wheels rotatably mounted to the frame. The construction machine also includes a power source mounted on the frame. The construction machine further includes a milling tool rotatably mounted to the frame and adapted to be selectively coupled to the power source. The milling tool is adapted to provide a reclaimed surface on a work surface. The rotary mixing system also includes an auxiliary vehicle adapted to be removably coupled to the construction machine. The auxiliary vehicle includes a chassis and at least one compaction member rotatably mounted to the chassis. The at least one compaction member is adapted to provide a compaction pass on the reclaimed surface.
SEALANT PACKAGING AND METHOD
An improved sealant packaging and method for use with sealing joints and cracks in pavement and parking lots is provided. Liquid sealant material is poured by volume into a container draped with a sheet. Container is cooled so that the sealant becomes a solid block, with the sheet adhered to the sides of the sealant block such that the sheet forms a container for the sealant. The sheet also acts a release liner for easily removing the sealant block from the container. Two or more contained blocks are stacked together, forming a package of two or more blocks self-sealed by sheets. When the package is placed in a melting kettle, heat migrates through the spaces between the individual sealant blocks and allows the smaller sealant blocks to melt quickly and evenly. Sheet and film melt with sealant material and are incorporated therein to form the final sealant product.
MATERIAL TRANSFER VEHICLE WITH MOVABLE OPERATOR'S PLATFORM
A material transfer vehicle has a frame, a front end including an asphalt paving material receiving device, and rear end including a discharge conveyor which is adapted to convey asphalt paving material to the receiving hopper of an asphalt paving machine. An operator's station includes an operator's platform on which is mounted an operator's seat. The operator's platform is moveable between a travel position that is entirely within the outer periphery of the material transfer vehicle and an operating position that locates the operator's seat at least partially outside the outer periphery of the material transfer vehicle.

Method for preparing asphalt paving material utilizing solid phase autoregenerative cohesion
A method for preparing a paving material includes heating an aggregate comprising recycled asphalt pavement using an emitter generating electromagnetic radiation having a wavelength of from 2 microns to 1 millimeter. The method utilizes solid phase autoregenerative cohesion to prepare a material suitable for use as an aggregate in a hot mix asphalt pavement installation.
System and method for generating a paving material map
A method includes determining a first temperature of paving material, determining a first location of a paving machine corresponding to the first temperature, determining a second temperature of the paving material, and determining a second location of the paving machine corresponding to the second temperature. The method also includes generating a paving material map based at least partly on the first and second temperatures, and the first and second locations. The method further includes causing at least part of the paving material map to be displayed. The displayed at least part of the paving material map including visual indicia indicating the first temperature and the second temperature.
Wear-Resistant Concrete Formulations and Methods for Their Preparation
A method for the preparation of concretes with improved wear resistance. The method involves the use of colloidal silica, which is added to a concrete mixture after mixing, in conjunction with a concrete cutter, which is added to the concrete mixture after the addition of the colloidal silica.

APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR PREPARING ASPHALT AND AGGREGATE MIXTURE
An asphalt and aggregate mixture and methods for preparing and using same are provided which utilize solid phase auto regenerative cohesion and homogenization by liquid asphalt oligopolymerization technologies. The mixtures are suitable for use in installing asphalt/concrete pavement, repairing asphalt/concrete pavement, and providing overlays to existing asphalt/concrete pavement. The slurries can contain recycled asphalt/concrete pavement subject to treatment.
