Method and system for detecting road intelligent compaction index

A method and system for detecting road intelligent compaction index, so as to solve the problem of inaccurate use of a road intelligent compaction index due to the fact that existing harmonic ratio indexes do not consider the influence of a non-integral period on the accuracy and also do not consider a higher harmonic. According to the disclosure, a relative relationship between amplitudes of the higher harmonic and a fundamental wave in an acceleration time domain signal is considered based on the related art, the amplitude of the higher harmonic is introduced into a main body road intelligent compaction index of an road intelligent compaction index, and a precondition for the use of the road intelligent compaction index of the main body is established, that is, a machine-material decoupling control the machine-material decoupling control index.

A bridge paving machine and method for paving a 3D design without vertical profile rails includes converting a desired design into a 3D surface model to account for certain factors known to cause deviations in the paving processes and paving the 3D surface model in the expectation that factors will cause the 3D surface model to deflect into the desired design. An on-board computer system adjusts the 3D surface model in real-time to correct for on-site variables. The on-board computer system receives data from various external sensors, including deflection sensors fixed to girders in the bride structure, and paving machine-based sensors, and uses various predictive models to predict surface deflection based on the sensor data. The 3D surface model is continuously updated based on the predictive models and actual measured deflections.

A method for screeding of an uncured concrete surface includes providing a screeding machine and a control. The uncured concrete surface is screeded and the control processes data captured by the sensors while the screeding machine is screeding the uncured concrete surface. While the screeding machine is screeding the uncured concrete surface, and responsive to data processing by the control of data captured by the sensors while the screeding machine is screeding the uncured concrete surface, the control estimates a flatness or levelness or quality of the surface of the concrete surface being screeded. The control may generate an output indicative of the estimated flatness or levelness or quality of the surface, and/or a display may display information associated with the estimated flatness or levelness or quality of the surface.

The present invention relates to a screed for a paving machine that includes a flexible smoothing plate, a vertex block a first actuator, and a second actuator. The flexible smoothing plate is provided with a longitudinal length and an outer longitudinal end. The vertex block is located on top of the flexible smoothing plate. The first actuator is connected to the outer longitudinal end and adapted to selectively adjust an elevation of the outer longitudinal end so that the outer longitudinal end of the flexible smoothing plate forms a berm by flexing about the vertex block and extending upward at an angle relative to an inner portion of the flexible smoothing plate. The second actuator is connected to the vertex block and configured to adjust the length of the berm by selectively repositioning the vertex block along the longitudinal length of the flexible smoothing plate.
