HEATABLE HOSE ASSEMBLY FOR ASPHALT REPAIR AND METHODS OF USE
The present invention provides an improved heated hose for use with asphalt pavement repair machines that includes a flexible exterior cylindrical insulated hose portion with an inner cylindrical surface defining an inner cylindrical region, and a flexible metal sheath deployed coaxially in this region having an exterior surface, the surfaces defining an area through which hot asphalt flows. A heating element may be removably deployed inside and along the length of the coaxial metal sheath. Hot asphalt flowing through the hose between the inner cylindrical surface of the hose and the exterior surface of the coaxial metal sheath is kept hot by the conduction of heat from the heating element inside the flexible metal sheath. One end of the heating element extends to a far end of the inside of the sheath, and the other end of the heating element is accessible from outside of the near end of the hose, making it possible to easily remove and replace the heating element in the event of a failure. A novel connecting block is provided where the hose connects to the heating machine providing a passageway for the sheath that allows for removal and replacement of the heating element, while also providing a passageway that allows hot asphalt to enter into the hose around the sheath.
METHOD OF PRODUCING A COMPOSITE MATERIAL USING A MIXING SYSTEM
A method produces a composite material using a mixing system. The composite material comprises at least one aggregate, e.g. rock and/or glass, and the reaction product of a two-component polymeric binder composition comprising a first component, e.g. an isocyanate component, and a second component, e.g. an isocyanate-reactive component. The mixing system includes a mixing apparatus. The method includes the step of providing the aggregate, the first component and the second component into the mixing apparatus. The method further includes the step of mixing the first and second components to produce the reaction product of the two-component polymeric binder composition, and the step of applying the reaction product of the two-component polymeric binder composition to the aggregate within the mixing apparatus to produce the composite material. The composite material can be used for forming a paved structure, such as a sidewalk or a roadway.
Telescopic screed and paving machine thereof
A telescopic screed includes main section and telescopic section screeds. The main section screed includes a screed frame and a base plate. The telescopic section screeds are arranged on the left side and/or the right side of the main section screed and include a cross slope framework, a cross slope driver, at least two multistage sliding pipes, a telescopic frame, a telescopic driver, a telescopic section frame, a telescopic section base plate and an elevation difference driver. The cross slope framework is pivotally connected with the main section screed to adjust the cross slope. The multistage sliding pipes are used for transversely guiding the telescopic frames to achieve the telescopic ability of the telescopic section screeds. The telescopic section frame is connected with the corresponding telescopic frame to move up and down to adjust the relative height between the telescopic section frame and the telescopic frame.
Pothole repair product and mobile apparatus and method of manufacturing an asphalt patch
A mobile apparatus for the repair of potholes in an asphalt paved surface comprises first storage bin for the containment of recycled shingle particles or recycled asphalt or combinations thereof. A first conveyor is provided for conveying the particles from the first storage bin to an inlet of a radiant heated transport mixing conveyor. A second storage bin is provided for the containment of stone aggregate. A second conveyor conveys and pre-heats the stone aggregate to the inlet of the transport mixing conveyor. An oil reservoir has a pump at an outlet thereof for feeding a predetermined quantity of asphaltic oil at the inlet of the mixing conveyor. The mixing conveyor has vanes for displacing, mixing and heating the stone aggregate, the recycled asphalt particles or recycled asphalt and the asphaltic oil to produce an asphalt patch material and feeding same to a dispensing outlet.

PAVING MACHINE HAVING PRODUCTION MONITORING SYSTEM
A monitoring system for a paving machine having a screed is disclosed. The monitoring system may include an input device configured to receive a first input from an operator of the paving machine, the first input being indicative of a height of the screed above a work surface, and a controller electronically connected to the input device. The controller may be configured to determine an amount of a material deposited by the paving machine based on the first input, receive a signal indicative of an amount of a material delivered to the paving machine, and determine a correction factor based on the amount of the material deposited by the paving machine and the amount of the material delivered to the paving machine.
