Apical Conduit and Methods of Using Same
This document discloses novel conduits for telecommunications lines, such as optical fibers. In an aspect, a conduit might have a body defining one or more channels into which optical fibers can be inserted. In another aspect, the body might have a first face that is substantially planar and a second face opposing the first face. The second face might a low-rise arc profile and/or might be configured to be installed into a depression in a material. Also disclosed are methods and tools for installing, using, and/or removing such conduit.
Methods, compositions and systems for enhancing the useful life of a transportation surface
Methods, compositions and systems for prolonging the lives of transportation surfaces, including pavement, runways, bridges and parking structures include physically altering the transportation surface and chemically protecting the transportation surfaces. Physical alteration of a transportation surface may include physically altering one or both of a microtexture and a macrotexture of the transportation surface. Chemical protection of a transportation surface may include hardening and/or densifying the transportation surface. The transportation surface may be chemically protected while physically altering the transportation surface or after the transportation surface has been physically altered.
Expansion joint seal with surface load transfer and intumescent
An expansion joint design for supporting transfer loads. The system includes an elongated core and at least one longitudinal load-transfer member which are bonded together.
Expansion Joint Seal with surface load transfer, intumescent, and internal sensor
An expansion joint design for supporting transfer loads. The system includes an elongated core and at least one longitudinal load-transfer member which are bonded together.
Vibratory grouting drilling rig with auxiliary moving mechanism
A vibratory grouting drilling rig includes: a drilling rig bracket, a moving bracket, and a driving mechanism mounted on the drilling rig bracket for driving the moving bracket to move; wherein a working bracket is slidingly mounted on the moving bracket, and a sliding direction of the working bracket is identical to a moving direction of the moving bracket; a vibratory grouting rod and a drilling rod are mounted on the working bracket; multiple flexible connectors are connected between the working bracket and the drilling rig bracket, and are arranged along the moving direction of the moving bracket; the flexible connectors go around an end of the moving bracket and are connected to the drilling rig bracket. When the moving bracket moves, the flexible connectors pull the working bracket to move relative to the moving bracket, thus providing extra drilling force.

Void Reducing Asphalt Membrane Emulsion
Provided herein is an asphalt membrane emulsion for reducing voids in an asphalt joint that includes asphalt, an asphalt modifier, mineral filler, an emulsifier, and water. Provided herein is a method of making an asphalt membrane emulsion, the method including: forming a first phase; forming a second phase; pumping the first phase and the second phase into a colloid mill; and mixing the first phase and second phase into the colloid mill to form the asphalt membrane emulsion. The first phase includes asphalt, asphalt modifier, and mineral filler. The second phase includes water and an emulsifier. A method of applying an asphalt membrane emulsion to fill a crack is also provided.
Expansion joint for longitudinal load transfer
An expansion joint design for supporting transfer loads. The system includes an elongated core and at least one longitudinal load-transfer member which are bonded together.
Texture curing machine as well as method for the subsequent treatment of a freshly produced concrete layer
In a texture curing machine for the subsequent treatment of freshly produced concrete layers of a predetermined width, in particular concrete roadways extending longitudinally in the direction of travel, comprising a machine frame supported by ground-engaging units, with no less than one texturing device movable transverse to the working direction for applying a texture, by means of multiple texturing tools, into the not yet hardened surface of the concrete layer, and with a controller unit for adjusting the travelling speed in the direction of travel, it is provided for the following features to be achieved: the controller unit captures the travelling speed and/or the traversing speed of the texturing device and, during forward or reverse travel, controls the travelling speed and/or the traversing speed of the texturing device in transverse direction in accordance with a specified texturing angle, with the texturing angle ensuing from the relation of the speeds.
