Machine, system and method for resurfacing existing roads
A method of resurfacing exposed surfaces of existing roads, and a resurfaced road. The method may include forming stress absorbing membrane interlayers (SAMIs) over the exposed surface of the existing road. The SAMIs may include a first layer of a binding material and a fiber material. The method may also include disposing an asphalt mixture directly over the SAMIs. The disposed asphalt mixture may cover the SAMIs. Additionally, the method may include shaping the asphalt mixture disposed over the SAMIs.
AUTOMATICALLY ADJUSTING SWING LEGS FOR MOUNTING AND ALIGNING AND REORIENTING CRAWLERS
A paving machine for spreading, leveling and finishing concrete having a main frame, center module, bolsters laterally movably, and a crawler track associated with respective aft and forward ends of the bolsters. A bolster swing leg for each crawler track supports an upright jacking column. A worm gear drive permits rotational movements of the crawler track and the jacking column. A hinge bracket is interposed between each swing leg and a surface of the bolsters to enable pivotal movements of the swing leg. A length-adjustable holder engages the pivot pin on the hinge bracket and pivotally engages the swing leg. The holder permits pivotal motions of the swing leg in its length-adjustable configuration and prevents substantially any motion of the swing leg in its fixed-length configuration. A feedback loop cooperates with transducers keeping the crawler tracks position. The paving machine can be reconfigured into a narrowed transport configuration.

Extended width dowel bar inserter
A paver for laying down a strip of concrete and, with a dowel bar inserter module as part of the paver, inserting dowel bars into and parallel with to the concrete strip. The dowel bar inserter module has an operational width capable of covering paved concrete strips of greater than 34 feet. In some implementations, the dowel bar inserter module has an operational width of 36 feet, 40 feet, or 50 feet.

PAVING MACHINE MEMBRANE DISPENSER
An asphalt paving system comprising an asphalt paving machine, a plurality of dispensing shafts, and a plurality of rolls of pavement reinforcing membrane. The paving machine comprises a hopper is configured to store hot asphalt material. The plurality of dispensing shafts are mounted on the asphalt paving machine, where at least a portion of at least one dispensing shaft extends from at least one side of the paving machine, and at least a portion of at least one dispensing shaft extends to a front of the paving machine. Each roll of pavement reinforcing membrane is supported by one of the plurality of dispensing shafts. As the asphalt paving machine moves, the plurality of dispensing shafts dispense the pavement reinforcing membrane continuously beneath the asphalt paving machine and the hot asphalt material is dispensed from the hopper on top of the pavement reinforcing membrane beneath the asphalt paving machine.

Slipform concrete paving machine having dowel bar inserter mechanism with continuous floor
A device for inserting dowel bars, the device having at least one floor plate, and the at least one floor plate defines a slot. One or more bar holders are provided, and the one or more bar holders are positioned above the slot defined within the at least one floor plate. The one or more bar holders are capable of holding a dowel bar, but the one or more bar holders are capable of allowing the dowel bar to move through the slot defined within the at least one floor plate when the dowel bar is pushed. The device has at least one fork movable longitudinally with respect to the at least one floor plate. Additionally, the device moves in a forward direction over a newly formed concrete slab, and the fork is capable of being lowered to push a dowel bar downward into the newly formed concrete slab.

Carriage suspended concrete drill gang assembly
A drilling machine for boring holes in a slab having a hole formed therein includes a main frame to which a drill gang assembly is rotatably and telescopingly mounted. The drill gang assembly includes a drill support frame supporting a plurality of drills in parallel spaced alignment. The drill gang assembly is mounted on a mast which may be rotated three hundred and sixty degrees relative to the main frame about a vertical axis up to at least one hundred and eighty degrees. The mast slides laterally relative to the main frame and the wheels supporting the main frame telescope laterally so the wheels can be supported on an adjacent lane or shoulder when the drill gang assembly is supported over a hole extending the width of a lane of a road forming by the slab.
