High Strength Porous Cement-Based Materials
Method of forming a cement-based material pad (3) comprising a plurality of drainage holes and forms for use in such a method.
ARTIFICIAL TURF INFILL MATERIAL
The invention provides for method for forming an artificial turf infill material. The method comprises selecting from a zeolite ore a microporous zeolite mineral using a selection criterion on specific surface area of the mineral, thereby providing the artificial turf infill material.
Pavement deicing or snow-melting system and construction method thereof
The present invention provides a pavement deicing or snow-melting system, comprising a water-permeable pavement, a drainage device and a heating device, wherein the water-permeable pavement comprises, successively from the top down, a water-permeable asphalt concrete coating, a porous cement stabilized macadam layer, a reflecting layer, a waterproof layer, a semi-rigid base and a semi-rigid cushion; the drainage device comprises a drainage ditch and a sheet cover; a water inlet is formed on the drainage ditch; a lower edge of the drainage ditch is not lower than the waterproof layer; curbs are arranged on edges of the water-permeable asphalt concrete coating and the porous cement stabilized macadam layer; and, the heating device is arranged between the water-permeable asphalt concrete coating and the porous cement stabilized macadam layer.
Paver stone deck drain
A drain is provided which may be used in a surface including a paver stone. The drain includes a body having an upper wall and a cavity extending from the upper wall. The body further includes a drain opening in fluid communication with the cavity. The body additionally includes a plurality of support members. Each support member at least partially extends into the cavity and includes a support surface, with the support surfaces of the plurality of support members being configured to collectively support a paver stone placed thereon. The drain additionally includes a plurality of retainers selectively engageable with the body to collectively define a paver zone sized to receive the paver stone. The body includes a drainage pathway from a location outside of the paver zone, through the cavity and to the drain opening.
Polymer panels for walkway and paving
Embodiments provide a polymeric walkway for mitigating surface water runoff and a method for constructing the same. A polymeric walkway module is secured to a pre-conditioned ground. The polymeric walkway module includes an upper panel, a lower panel, and a plurality of spacers. The upper panel includes a plurality of perforations. The plurality of spacers is positioned between the upper panel and the lower panel defining a hollow space. Surface water permeates through the plurality of perforations and occupies the hollow space during the surface water runoff.
System and method for customizing a playing field
A customizable tile system includes a tile disposed atop a surface; a forced fluid system comprising a pipe disposed below the tile and operatively coupled to a pump; a bladder operatively connected to the pipe, wherein the bladder is selectively inflatable; a sensor operatively coupled to the bladder; and a control system operable to control the pump. The control system includes a processor in data communication with the sensor, and computer memory, the computer memory comprising a program having machine readable instructions that, when effected by the processor, predicts a location of an impact upon the tile and selectively forces fluid through the pipe to inflate the bladder prior to the impact upon the tile.
PAVER WITH CONNECTORS
The invention relates to a paving composed of a plurality of individual paving stones with irregularly curved lateral faces. The individual paving stones have, on their irregularly curved lateral faces, chains or partial chains of adjoining, spaced apart strip-shaped connection sections that mesh together in the manner of a gear rack with connection sections of adjoining paving stones. This makes it possible to achieve paving connections even with randomly shaped paving stones.
Modular block system for roundabouts
A roundabout for vehicular traffic is provided from a plurality of modular blocks arranged in a generally circular roundabout pattern and affixed to a roadway or ground surface at an intersection of vehicle roadways. Roundabouts can be formed in any desired diameter. In some embodiments, the modular blocks can have a trapezoidal plan shape laid out in concentric rings. The trapezoidal shaped blocks can be cut from a length of board having a constant width and thickness. The modular blocks can be provided as a kit of parts delivered to worksite at an intersection of vehicle roadways where a roundabout is desired. Splitter islands, sidewalks, and curbing of blocks having appropriate shapes can also be provided.
Sports Field Structure and Method for Forming the Same
A sports field comprises a base structure and a cover. The cover is at least partly permeable to fluid, especially water. The base structure comprises voids for containing fluid. The base structure forms a substantially continuous deck supporting the cover. The cover comprises or is formed by an artificial sports layer, such as artificial grass. At least a number of the voids are in fluid communication with each other. Wick elements are provided fluidly connecting at least a number of the voids with the cover for supplying fluid from the voids to the top layer.
PATIO BLOCKS WITH EDGE BLOCKS
A kit including a plurality of interior paving blocks and a plurality of edge paving blocks.
