A method includes determining a first temperature of paving material, determining a first location of a paving machine corresponding to the first temperature, determining a second temperature of the paving material, and determining a second location of the paving machine corresponding to the second temperature. The method also includes generating a paving material map based at least partly on the first and second temperatures, and the first and second locations. The method further includes causing at least part of the paving material map to be displayed. The displayed at least part of the paving material map including visual indicia indicating the first temperature and the second temperature.

The invention relates to a skid segment (10) for an edge protection (5) on a road milling machine or similar ground processing machine having a base part (11) and at least one first skid section (12) mounted thereupon, wherein the first skid section (12), in a first operating position of the base part (11), can be directed in direction (A) onto the surface of the road or ground. At least one second skid section (13) is mounted on the base part (11), which, in a second operating position of the base part (11), can be directed in direction (A) onto the surface of the road or ground. The invention further relates to an edge protection for a road milling machine or similar ground processing machine having skid segments of this kind, wherein the edge protection has an edge which is designed to receive at least one skid segment.
Control system for a road paver
A control system for a road paver comprises a camera system configured to generate image data of an environment of the road paver. The control system further comprises a controller electronically connected to the camera system. The controller is configured to receive the image data from the camera system, and to apply an object recognition process on the received image data to identify an edge line serving as a reference line for a mat to be laid by the road paver, and to determine a three dimensional position of the identified edge line. The controller may automatically control the road paver, and may assist an operator to control the road paver based on the identified position of the edge line.

Systems and methods for controlling the cross slope of an asphalt paver screed. One system includes a tractor and an implement coupled to the tractor via a left tow arm and a right tow arm. The system also includes a left slope sensor mounted to the left tow arm and a right slope sensor mounted to the right tow arm. The system further includes one or more processors configured to perform operations including receiving left slope data and right slope data, calculating a measured cross slope of a virtual transverse beam extending between the left tow arm and the right tow arm based on the left slope data and the right slope data, obtaining a target cross slope, and causing movement of one or both of the left tow arm and the right tow arm based on a comparison between the measured cross slope and the target cross slope.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR GENERATING A PAVING MATERIAL MAP
A method includes determining a first temperature of paving material, determining a first location of a paving machine corresponding to the first temperature, determining a second temperature of the paving material, and determining a second location of the paving machine corresponding to the second temperature. The method also includes generating a paving material map based at least partly on the first and second temperatures, and the first and second locations. The method further includes causing at least part of the paving material map to be displayed. The displayed at least part of the paving material map including visual indicia indicating the first temperature and the second temperature.
Road paver with holding device for carrying and positioning a sensor unit
A road paver includes a paving screed adjustable in height for installing a road surface layer and at least one holding device for carrying and positioning of at least one sensor unit. The holding device has at least one swivel arm module for fastening the holding device on the road paver, at least one carrier arm module and at least one sensor module comprising the sensor unit. The carrier arm module is fastened by a first clamping device on the swivel arm module and the sensor module is fastened by a second clamping device on the carrier arm module, wherein the first and the second clamping device are formed respectively for a predetermined clamping force when the respective clamping devices are in a closed position.
Method of repairing an edge guard for a road milling machine
A method of repairing an edge guard for a road milling machine. An edge guard includes an edge portion having a plurality of insertion receptacles receiving insertion projections of a plurality of runner segments. A worn runner segment is removed by withdrawing its insertion projection from it associated insertion receptacle. A new runner segment is replaced by inserting its insertion projection into the insertion receptacle from which the worn runner segment was taken.
Tamper stroke adjustment
The disclosure relates to a road finishing machine with a screed for producing a paving layer, wherein the screed includes at least one compacting unit for precompacting paving material supplied to the screed. The compacting unit includes at least one eccentric bushing mounted on an eccentric shaft supporting the same at a desired angle of rotation to thereby continuously variably set a desired tamper stroke of a tamper bar of the compacting unit. For rotating the eccentric bushing on the eccentric shaft, an adjusting mechanism mounted spaced apart from the eccentric shaft and at least partially rotatable along with a rotary motion of the eccentric shaft can be activated. Furthermore, the disclosure relates to a method for a continuously variable tamper stroke adjustment at a compacting unit of a road finishing machine.
CORRECTION UNIT
The present invention relates to a correction unit (13) for correcting the position of a side plate (2,2) of a screed (4) of a road paving machine (1) for constructing a road pavement relative to a line (12) on an underlying surface on which the road paving machine (1) is adapted to move, the correction unit (13) comprising a sensor device, where the sensor device is adapted to sense at least part of said underlying surface comprising the line (12) and identify a displacement of the side plate (2,2) of the screed (4) of the road paving machine (1) relative to the line (12) on the underlying surface and provide a sensing signal for controlling the position of the side plate (2,2). The present invention further relates to a screed (4) and a road paving machine (1) comprising the correction unit (13).
