A corrugated metal plate comprises a plate configured to define a series of crests and troughs, where the plate has longitudinal edges extending parallel to longitudinal axes of the crests and the troughs and transverse edges extending orthogonally to the longitudinal axes of the crests and the troughs. The corrugated metal plate further comprises at least one of: at least one longitudinal flange extending from each longitudinal edge, and at least one transverse flange extending from each transverse edge.

Culvert diffuser

The present invention embodies a diffuser extending from the outlet end of a highway culvert, whereby the diffuser flares outwardly to provide a larger area cross-section at the outlet of the culvert in order to increase the capacity of the culvert and to reduce the effects of erosion from the outflow of water from the culvert outlet.

Formwork for use in the construction of arched structures and method of constructing arched structures

A formwork for constructing an arched structure comprises a first end panel and a second end panel. A plurality of longitudinal members extends between the first end panel and the second end panel. The longitudinal members are arranged in an arched formation and the longitudinal members slope between the first end panel and the second end panel. The formwork may have rollers disposed along lengths of the longitudinal members.

Bridge system adapted for promoting sedimentation

A system providing environmentally friendly pathway tunnel utilizes a bottom configuration with multiple elongated beams and slots. One or more of the beams includes upstanding sedimentation members that are spaced apart along a span of the tunnel. The system interacts with the flowing water and earthen material in the flowing water such that capture and settling of the earthen material at locations along the tunnel occurs to produce a more natural water flow pathway along the tunnel.

REINFORCEMENT SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR CORRUGATED PLATE STRUCTURES

A corrugated plate structure includes a plurality of corrugated plates connected together to form a corrugated structure having a corrugation direction and a cross-corrugation direction. A reinforcement system includes: a first bracket and a second bracket, where the first bracket extends substantially parallel to the cross-corrugation direction and mounted to side-by-side first and second corrugation crests so as to pass over a corrugation valley that joins the first and second corrugation crest, and where the second bracket is spaced in the corrugation direction from the first bracket, and the second bracket extends substantially parallel to the cross-corrugation direction and mounted to the first and second corrugation crests so as to pass over the corrugation valley. An elongated reinforcing member extends substantially parallel to the corrugation direction and mounted to both the first bracket and the second bracket.

A system for installing a drainage structure in the subsurface. The system has a casing, a drive device, and at least one fin. The casing has opposed first and second ends and defines a hollow region. The drive device is supported at the first end of the casing and configured to drive movement of the casing in a first direction. The at least one fin projects from the casing into the hollow region and is configured to buckle a corrugated metal culvert positioned at least partially within the casing when the casing is driven in the first direction. The drive device may be a pneumatic hammer or puller attached to a rod pulling machine.

ASSEMBLY FOR DETAINING OR RETAINING LIQUID BENEATH A GROUND SURFACE
20170037610 · 2017-02-09 ·

A modular assembly is provided for detaining or retaining a liquid beneath a ground surface. The assembly featuring a plurality of substantially identical precast unitary concrete modules with each module having a deck portion with outer edges and a plurality of spaced apart legs extending from the deck portion. At least two of the legs of a module are spaced inwardly from the nearest outer edge of the deck portion of the same module so that a portions of the deck overhangs each of said legs. The legs and deck portions define flow paths within each module that are in fluid communication with each other with the flow paths being both outside the legs and between the legs. Each module in the assembly is further positioned with its deck adjacent to the deck of another module.
