Marker system and operation method

In an operation method of marker system (1) in which laying position information indicating a position where a magnetic marker (10) is laid is provided to a vehicle (3) side for achieving control for assisting driving of the vehicle (3) by using the magnetic marker (10), since positional accuracy required when laying magnetic markers (10) can be relaxed, the laying position information of the magnetic marker (10) positioned on the vehicle (3) side which performs the control for assisting driving is used as correction information to correct the laying position information indicating the position where the magnetic marker (10) is laid, and laying cost of magnetic markers (10) can be suppressed.

Magnetic marker, magnetic marker retaining method, work apparatus for magnetic markers, and magnetic marker installation method

A magnetic marker retaining method that includes placing a plurality of sheet-shaped magnetic markers on a surface of a band-shaped carrier sheet, the plurality of sheet-shaped magnetic markers being so as to be spaced in a longitudinal direction of the band-shaped carrier sheet; and retaining the plurality of sheet-shaped magnetic markers in a state of a roll body with the band-shaped carrier sheet rolled up in a roll shape, the band-shaped carrier sheet being rolled up such that each surface of the plurality of sheet-shaped magnetic markers directly contacts the other side of the surface of the band-shaped carrier sheet, on which the plurality of sheet-shaped magnetic markers are placed, and the plurality of sheet-shaped magnetic markers being to be laid on a road.

ROADWAY INFORMATION DETECTION SYSTEMS CONSISTS OF SENSORS ON AUTOMONOUS VEHICLES AND DEVICES FOR THE ROAD
20210350700 · 2021-11-11 ·

The present invention relates to the guidance of autonomous vehicles and in particular, relates to guiding an autonomous vehicle along a roadway by means of active devices with a system which works during normal and inclement weather as well as under any luminous conditions. These active devices are embedded in the passive and/or active road details such as traffic signs, traffic lights, warning lights etc. These active devices provide data relating to road conditions, speed, road layout etc. as well as other information such as availability of parking spaces. Accordingly, through networks of sensors and devices the autonomous vehicle can obtain road details in real-time in any weather, illumination, visibility etc.

IMPACT DETECTING AND TRACKING SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR VEHICLE CRASH ATTENUATOR SYSTEMS

An impact tracking system includes a sensor module that mounts to a fixed crash attenuator, sign, guardrail, or other roadway devices installed along a roadway. When the crash attenuator or other asset is impacted by an errant vehicle, the impact tracker, comprising a sensor system, senses and captures the impact data and sends an alert message to a remote receiver. The receiver may comprise known data receiving means, such as computers or phone systems, which may receive emails, text messages, photos, and the like in real or near real time. Received data may be analyzed, stored, and/or re-transmitted to additional receivers, which may include road authorities, such as transportation departments responsible for inspecting and repairing the impact attenuators.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR TRAFFIC LIGHT DETECTION AND COMMUNICATION
20220004186 · 2022-01-06 ·

An auxiliary device and system for traffic light detection and communication. The auxiliary device is positionable adjacent to a traffic light. The auxiliary device includes at least one light pipe positionable adjacent to at least one traffic indicator disposed on a surface of the traffic light. The at least one light pipe is capable of carrying a light output from the least one traffic indicator to the auxiliary device. The auxiliary device includes a sensor for sensing the light output, and a processor operatively connected for computer communication to the sensor. The processor receives a measurement from the sensor. The measurement is associated with the light output. The processor detects a state of the light output based on the measurement, and transmits the state to one or more remote vehicles.
