Material to increase traffic sign awareness
Material for a sign support structure, such as a signpost, providing greater visibility an added awareness to the sign comprising a film or sheeting on which is printed contrasting colored segments or contrasting colored designs, words, or letters replicated repeatedly on or within and along the length of the material. The material, when attached to the sign support structure or an independent substrate that is subsequently attached to the sign support structure, provides a higher visibility pattern drawing awareness to the sign.
System and method for mobile data expansion
A data expansion system that provides continuum of discrete wireless small cell coverage areas for mobile terminals includes a set of roadway reflectors configured to provide wireless broadband data services to a mobile terminal. Each reflector includes processing circuitry configured to establish communications between the mobile terminal and a backhaul network. Each reflector includes a wireless transceiver configured to transmit and receive data. Each reflector includes a power source that converts solar energy into electricity. Each reflector includes a housing configured to contain the processing circuitry, the transceiver, and the power source. The housing has a raised reflective surface.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR MOBILE DATA EXPANSION
A data expansion system that provides for wireless communication includes a set of roadway communication devices configured to enable vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) communication. The system includes a first roadway communication device configured to receive data from a first electronic device in a first vehicle and a second roadway communication device communicatively coupled to the first roadway device. The second roadway communication device is configured to communicate the data to a second electronic device in a second vehicle. Each roadway communication device includes a wireless transceiver to transmit and receive data; a communication interface to establish communication links with other roadway communication devices; and processing circuitry to relay the data between the other roadway communication devices or electronic devices in respective vehicles. Each roadway communication device also includes a housing that contains the processing circuitry, communication interface and the wireless transceiver. The housing is configured to be mounted within a roadway surface.

Stanchion or post with a spring-loaded assembly
A socket mounted post system including a post with a hollow base portion attached to a spring mechanism. The spring mechanism includes a pillar, the pillar having a finger extending from the hollow base portion. The finger is engageable with a socket that is mountable in a floor. The spring mechanism allows the post to flex angularly relative to a vertical orientation of the post.
Remote Controlled Mobile Traffic Control System and Method
A remote controlled mobile traffic control system which can be used in the place of a human flag person. A mobile platform with an adjustable traffic control indicator thereon is controlled by a remote control. The operator can move the platform and change the indication of the traffic control apparatus from a safe distance. The apparatus permits flagging of traffic in a moving traffic control zone arrangement, and operational safety is maximized. A traffic barrier arm is movable between deployed and retracted positions obstructing the path of oncoming traffic, for example by a remote controlled actuator or by remote controlled turning of the platform. A remote alarm unit accompanies to the work crew to alarm them of traffic entering the work zone without authorization or at unsafe speed. The apparatus can travel with a moving or changing work zone, either by human remote control or autonomous follow me functionality.
Mobile barrier
A safety system is shown including a vehicle, first and second platforms, a barrier positioned between and connected to the first and second platforms defining a protected work area on a side of the trailer; a detachable caboose and wherein the vehicle and caboose are engaged with the first and second platforms, and the vehicle and caboose have braking systems that operate independently.
RETROREFLECTIVE ARTICLES HAVING A MACHINE-READABLE CODE
Retroreflective articles comprise a substrate and a bar code provided on the substrate. The bar code comprises at least one human-readable information which provides framing information and a machine-readable information which provides variable information. The human-readable information is visible under a first condition and invisible under a second condition, and the machine-readable information is invisible under the first condition and visible under the second condition.
