Retaining members

A retaining member is described. The retaining member forms part of a stanchion of a barrier assembly. The retaining member includes an undulating open channel extending completely through the retaining member. The channel is adapted, in use, to retain a flexible elongate member (e.g., a rope or cord) and to restrain movement of the flexible elongate member relative to the retaining member.

Safely cone enhancer

A safety cone enhancer fits onto a traffic cone or safety cone. The traffic cone or safety cone has a conical member with a first diameter at a base of the conical member and a second diameter at a top of the conical member. The safety cone enhancer has a round or polygonal member with a hole therethrough, the hole having a diameter which is less than the first diameter of the traffic cone and greater than the second diameter of the traffic cone. The safety cone enhancer has a plurality of arms extending from the round or polygonal member; and at least one of: a first hole in said round or polygonal member extending through said polygonal member from the top surface to the bottom surface, said first hole being configured to receive a first signaling device; and a second signaling device which shines light from a surface of the round or polygonal member.

Traffic Channelizer with Flexible Divider Members

A modular system for separating traffic into discrete zones includes a plurality of rail segments pivotally secured to rail mounts. The mounts are configured for rapid and straightforward coupling of rail segments thereto. Moreover, the mounts may be quickly installed and de-installed from a road surface. The overall system therefore provides a physical barrier system that is easily installed and easily modifiable into desired arrangements. Its modular construction of any number of a plurality of distinct rail segments further facilitates customized channelizing design. The modular system includes flexible divider members connectable to the mounts through angled bracket flanges to define visible and aesthetically pleasing physical separation of the traffic into discrete zones.

A protective barrier device adapted for placement within a structure with a particular use adjacent to a vehicle. The device includes a pair of base members comprised of a hollow housing having a cavity for the addition of a weighted material. The device including a top rail and a bottom rail assembled from sections and coupled to the base members to define a perimeter of the device. A central portion generally comprising a panel is shaped for receipt within the perimeter and coupled to the rails in a cohesive assembly. The device is configured for assembly from a collapsed to an extended position for easily transport and shipping.

Collapsible pet pen

The collapsible pet pen comprises a screen that may be deployed from within a cannister container and supported by a plurality of support poles. The cannister container and the screen may form a portable fence to confine a pet. Each of the plurality of support poles may comprise a pole body and a pole base. The pole base may be a ground base comprising a stake to push into the ground or a deck base that may be coupled to a deck or other flat surface. The cannister container and the leading edge of the screen may couple to a wall of a building using one or more wall coupler strips. The screen and the plurality of pole may couple to each other via a plurality of screen support fasteners dispersed at equal intervals along the screen and pole support fasteners found on each pole body.

SIGN KIT FOR A BARRIER POST

A simple sign kit for mounting on top of a barrier post that has only two sheets of flexible material: a mounting part having a first sheet and a sign member having a second sheet. The mounting part has a first edge extending from a first end to a second end of the mounting part; a second edge extending from the first end to the second end; end engaging means adjacent the first end and end engaging means adjacent the second end for engaging the first end with the second end; first sign engaging means adjacent the first edge; second sign engaging means adjacent the first edge; and one or more apertures formed in the mounting part to allow members extending horizontally from an upper end of a barrier post to extend therethrough when the mounting part is mounted on top of a barrier post.

The invention pertains to a portable fencing system that provides for easy and versatile positioning and removal. In one aspect, the portable fencing system includes sleeves that are pre-positioned in the ground so as to define a predetermined boundary suitable for a particular repetitive use. In another aspect, a portable fencing system that is without pre-positioned sleeves is described, which is more suitable for applications where the insertion of semi-permanent sleeves is impracticable, or where added positioning flexibility is desired.

Barrier stand

A barrier stand for a barrier comprising a cable is described. The barrier stand has an elongate member and a hollow top section, and at least one slot extending downwardly from the top of the top section, the slot being adapted to receive a cable. A clamping device is located in the hollow section. The clamping device defines a shaft that extends through a bore defined by a guide of the barrier stand. The shaft and guide enable sliding movement of the clamping device towards a clamping position for clamping a cable securely to the barrier stand, and away from the clamping position to release the cable from the barrier stand. The guide is secured to the elongate member thereby maintaining alignment between the clamping device and the elongate member during movement of the clamping device towards and away from the clamping position.
