Crash Guard
A crash guard configured to resist intrusion of a vehicle from a traffic lane into an area and to resist intrusion into an area of debris caused by an impact of a vehicle into the crash guard or into another vehicle.
Apparatus and method for rapidly deflating tires to disable a land vehicle
An apparatus and a method for disabling a ground engaging traction device of a land vehicle includes at least one penetrator configured to breach the traction device, an articulated strap configured to move the apparatus between a retracted arrangement and an extended arrangement, a mass configured to deploy the apparatus to the extended arrangement, and a retractor configured to retract the apparatus to the retracted arrangement. The penetrators can be arranged in sections and the penetrators can be arranged so as to be multi-directional within each section.
Systems and methods for supporting bollards
In one embodiment, a bollard system includes multiple support beams adapted to be embedded in concrete, multiple bollards, each bollard being attached to a support beam a point near a center of the beam, and a reinforcing bar that is woven between the support beams to provide reinforcement to the system.
Shock Absorbing Retractable Bollard Systems
An example retractable bollard system for installation in a support surface that includes pavement is disclosed. The example bollard system includes a shell that when installed in the support surface extends below an upper surface of the pavement. The example bollard system includes a post to be telescopically coupled to the shell. The post is axially movable relative to the shell selectively to an upper area and a lower area. The post extends farther above the shell when the post is in the upper area than when the post is in the lower area. The example bollard system further includes a shock absorber to encircle the shell. The shock absorber is made of a polymeric material.
Bollard coverings and methods of manufacture and use thereof
A bollard covering formed from a body, a body connector, a first center, a second center, a bottom, and a top is disclosed. The body connector and bottom further comprise post guide surfaces. In order to secure the bollard covering to the post, one or more holes are provided within the bottom, threaded to accommodate a set screw, or the like. Bollard covering elements are joined by welding, bonding, or mechanical fastening. Bollard coverings may be formed from a manufacturer's standard inventory elements in order to create a standard inventory or a customized bollard covering product that may be economically configured on an individual bollard covering basis, or on small or large scale runs, with as much variation in optional components, features, and conveniences as may be required by the marketplace.
Shallow-mount braced-post barrier
A barrier apparatus includes a barrier post mounted to a base and extending upwardly from the base. A brace of the barrier apparatus is configured to restrict relative movement between the barrier post and the base. The brace can be mounted to the base so that it extends upwardly and obliquely toward the barrier post. The brace can include block. A reinforcing tube can extend around the block. A mated connection to the front of the brace can include a first mating protrusion extending into a first mating hole, and a mated connection to the bottom of the brace can include a second mating protrusion extending into a second mating hole. The brace or another brace can extend into a rear corner positioned between the barrier post and the base.
Bollard for floor installation
A bollard for floor installation that includes: a base that is installed on the ground; an intermediate outer cylinder that is installed on the top of the base; a connector that is fitted in the base through the internal space of the intermediate outer cylinder; a spring that is fitted on the connector; and an extension outer container that extends a length by being coupled to the intermediate outer cylinder.
Bollards and barriers
A bollard apparatus for use as a vehicle barrier includes: a plurality of bollard members; a plurality of separate foot members adapted for ground engagement by placement upon or embedment within a surface, one or more of which is attached to at least one bollard member upstanding therefrom, wherein at least one foot member includes: a front edge; a rear edge; at least one lateral edge which opposes a corresponding lateral edge of a neighbouring foot member, wherein at least one lateral edge extends between the front and rear edges and is non-planar so as to include: a first edge part; and, a second edge part that is laterally offset from the first edge part, wherein the bollard apparatus further includes a coupling assembly which couples the foot member to the neighbouring foot member, wherein the coupling assembly is attached to the lateral edge.
Shallow foundation bollard structures
A bollard structure includes a base and a bollard. The base includes an upper wall, a lower wall, a first side wall extending between the upper and lower walls, a second side wall extending between the upper and lower walls and spaced apart from the first side wall, and a mid-wall extending between the upper and lower walls and between the first and second sidewalls. The bollard penetrates the upper wall and extends to the lower wall between the two sidewalls, such that the mid-wall extends from the bollard.
